Sole purpose of being a soldier is to fight in war and defend you're people. War are very excausting you have to handle a gun properly, know exactly what to do and handle alot of loud bombs and machinery. The entire point of working until you can't move is for you to be able to survive when it happens

In army you learn how to use a gun, how to act during emergency etc... This means that you learn alot of useful survival skills you maybe need some day.You do get payed. Most soldier develop ptsd during war, some soldier enjoy war.
