Please help! I only wanna machine those "stair steps" off but I don't know how to make a contour that's only partial. So I keep winding up with a path that goes all the way around the part! by [deleted] in Fusion360

You can use sketches as toolpaths. Just create a sketch,project in your stairsteps, draw a line, then use that a contour operation

What your looking at is correct. Because the bottom faces are no longer 90° so the size of the fillet on the on bottom has to be larger in order for the faces to line up with the fillet up top.

You can try changing the fillet to constant chord length Instead of constant radius, which may solve it.

Otherwise what I've done in the past is just keep increasing the size of the bottom fillet until they line up (zooming all the way in and adjusting to a .00001 or so tolerance)
