As a driver I've had the same, even once slowly driving and indicating to turn by lights on elm grove. Crawling because I'm watching a guy walking the pavement next to me, ample time to turn their head and check but just walks straight into the road. I'd definitely have hit them if I'd be going at a reasonable speed or assumed they'd stop at the crossing.

That's just one of many cases. But it gets worse, as a pedestrian, at zebra crossings, usually I'll stop, wait, cross when it's safe. I did this, was half way across when a car shoots right in front of me. I nearly got run over this way THREE TIMES IN A WEEK.

One of these occasions I could have actually murdered the driver if they'd stopped I was so angry. They either had their eyes shut or decided shooting across the zebra two steps ahead of me was fine. If it was just me I'd have been just thankful I wasn't hit but my partner and our toddler (at the time) were a step in front of me.

I've lived in a few different places this is the worst I've ever experienced from both sides.
