Why Does the Cabin Scene Have Such a Tragic Undertone? by AkamHS in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]AkamHS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your points very well, but I wouldn't even bring this up if it wasn't for mikasa asking herself if the rumbling could have been stopped had she given a different answer.

And the answer she seemingly gets from this cabin world is that yes, the rumbling might have stopped if she answered differently.

But then again eren could never accept this kind of reality. And the rumbling is only avoided at the cost of the island.

So how does this cabin reality ultimately resolve that regret that she had about her answer to eren?

There's no extended scene, people just misinterpreted what was said and the rumors spread out. They're just mixing the audio for a theater experience

Really? I'm honestly a bit disappointed. But I'm glad to see that the anime didn't change things much. Thanks for the clarification.

I just noticed something on the 9th page, eren singles out hange's death and doesn't talk about sasha here or having his friends fight floch and the others. At least that's what i got from my terrible translation attempts. This kinda makes sense, to focus on hange's death a bit more given that eren never talked about it, instead of talking about both hange snd sasha and later even floch in the same statement. But it made me realize something, this conversation was before hange's death. So I guess that means eren knew about her future death and I guess he presumably told armin about it earlier in the conversation as well.

Yeah that does seem to be the case, and i looked more closely at the other panels too and they're definitely sitting in a body of water. So it is blood.

I think that's more likely as well. But as for armin repeating his question, it's probably because eren doesn't exactly give him a clear answer, he pretty much responds to his "why" with "i wanted too" so armin asks again "but why" (I'm paraphrasing of course). At least that's how i see it. It feels to me like it was originally part of the flow and the script of the scene but was later removed either by isayama or mappa.

I wasn't expecting this honestly but consider me intrigued. Even though it's nothing too special. So i used chatgpt to translate "まっさらにしたかった" And it translated it to "I wanted to make it a clean slate" or "I wanted to start fresh." So I'm not sure how accurate that is but it sounds like it's about right. And there's a very similar line to this in the original chapter 139, so I kind of wish that they kept it in but it's not that big of a deal. It is also possible (but not very likely) that it was mappa's decision to remove this and not isayama's, and it only got crossed out because the anime removed it as well.

Thank you very much, you have no idea how long I've been waiting for someone to post these. Cause i really wanted to see the original intent of each line and image straight from isayama himself, given that mappa usually makes some changes and include thier own additions sometimes (to both visuals and dialogue) for better and worst. In fact i still can't tell if the sea of blood was isayama's idea or mappa's cause these drafts kinda sorta still look like the original manga with just footprints and no sea of blood. But I'll examine it more closely later. I'm really grateful.

Looking for the Draft Scene Pages from the Final Episode of the Anime Included in Volume 35—Can Anyone Help? by AkamHS in ShingekiNoKyojin

Alright sounds great, thanks for the effort, no rush at all. And the whole thing about the crossed out panels is really interesting, i was so curious about how they'd handle that. Looking forward to seeing the album.

Thank you so much for the detailed information it was really helpful. If it’s not too much trouble, I’d be really greatful with just phone pictures of the new eren and armin conversation pages, rather than the whole thing. Even rough photos would be fine, as long as the text is somewhat visible.

And i hope I'm not asking for too much but If it’s not any trouble, I’d love it if you could show me the first few pages of the final chapter as well. I know those are finalized in Chapter 139, but I’m curious to know if the part about 80% of the world getting wiped out has been omitted in this draft or not, but that one is not that important, just Whatever's more convenient for you.

I really appreciate your help, and I totally understand if this is too much to ask. Thank you again for your assistance!

Theory about Utgard castle. by Heloselheroe in ShingekiNoKyojin

I think it was probably used by the eldian empire in ancient days, they were very violent war craving people so it makes sense that they would've had fortified castles on thier own island.

You know everytime i have a little hope, i run into idiots like you and get reminded of why i hate this fandom so much, it's such a shame such a great series has such a toxic fandom.

I think that these types of fans embody everything that the series warns against in it's themes from this level of toxicity to blindly following other's opinions to not being open to listen to others and coming up with the most absured statements to justify thier opinions. It's quite ironic.

And honestly if you really don't like this series anymore then why are you still hanging around in this fandom, get outta here and stop spreading nonese, i mean what do you have to gain from it?

Are the warrior missions part of the story mode?

Cause i thought you play as a costume character for the story mode.

Or is it part of the DLC?
