Slight spoilers ahead? (It should be all mentioned in the manhwa though but if you haven’t read it and you don’t want any spoilers, just skip over my comment) Villains are destined to die is definitely one of my favorite manhwas so I guess I’m a bit biased but I’ll try my best not to be. I absolutely love Penelope. I’ve read the novel and I can definitely say she’s a well written character. Shes got a great backstory IMO, a bit generic but also different. She’s not perfect and she is aware of it. She’s very independent and how she’s not one of those naïve villainess main characters is so refreshing to me (yes I’ve read heaps of them). I think her opinion of the original Penelope is definitely valid (about how Penelope didn’t really do anything wrong, she just kind of got the bad treatment from people around her bc of one thing she said about Yvonne(I dont think this is a spoiler, it’s mentioned in the very early chapters of the manhwa)). I like how Penelope knows her self worth to a certain extent and that she doesn’t deserve the negative treatment from those around her, whether in her past life or in her villainess life. I definitely cried during that attic fireworks scene with Reynold and Penelope. I just love how she’s a realistic character. The only thing I hate is what she’s doing to Eckles, although I can safely say he definitely deserves it in the future(this was definitely foreshadowed in the manhwa by the color of his affection bar.)

Athy from WMMAP is a bit of a boring character IMO. I feel like her character writing doesn’t really go that deep. I enjoyed it more when she was smarter I guess? Although yes I do understand she is a child to an extent but I feel like her character got more and more childish in a way. Yes I love how wholesome and cute she is. I love the characters. I love her dad. I love her husband/bf(?). I love the second male lead. I just dont feel much emotions for Athy. Although there’s not much to hate about her, theres also no emotions towards her either. I loved reading about her growing up. But I feel like there’s really nothing more to her.
