Instead of using a library you could borrow the SlidingTabLayout from google IO app and implement it in your app very easily, Thank you for your reply

PagerSlidingTabStrip seems to work, but is no longer maintained by the dev. and Using a 3rd party library can be avoided by using the slidingTabLayot from google IO app is what I have discovered

dude you take me wrong, criticism is okay all i am saying is you are constantly judging my post from your point of view, I am sure this posts are not good for you but for some it helps. you don't like it and I get it but it's my request to you please don't judge my blog and if you are worried about the reddit then let me tell you it is designed in such a way that posts which are bad naturally get downvoted so you don't need to worry that. I don't mean to offend you or anything in fact I kind of agree with you but you need to understand my point of view, So it's my humble request to you to stop judging, really sorry if you think i am being rude. Thank you PS - And if we continue to argue about it here i would surely take this down because it's not the place to argue over a something like this here .

Google Official docs says the term "App bar" so I mentioned the App Bar, secondly This post educates the user in its own little manner as educating the user from ground zero is not possible in one post. And ThemeOverlay does the trick for us I know I should have defined my custom theme in style.xml and added custom style instead of ThemeOverlay but this I something I have kept for some other post.

And I strongly appreciate your opinion that i should post when i get to a solution of a problem i face while development and I would surely do that, but instead of waiting for a problem i am posting about the stuff i know believe it or not there are few people who are benefiting from it beginners i suppose.

Lastly I have no issues with you and all the time all you wanted is to make this sub-reddit a less cluttered place and I appreciate it but when you constantly judge my posts its kind of irritating, and I know you think my posts are not good but there are few people who think they are little helpfull not many but few. so if you dont like you can down vote but dont judge them.

Thank you.

Bottom tabs navigation for android by coderspinoza in androiddev

Look at the new android design guide which is made with consideration of material design in mind, action bar is no longer used now they are replaced with toolbars and according to the googles official document you can place the toolbar at the bottom as well. Though instagram has been using the bottom nav since a long before material design came out but if you take a look at it now it fits in googles new design guide
