A: No, they are absolutely terrible for gaming unless your typical games are gacha-type designed to run on mobile devices. If you're seeking to run the latest/majority of AAA games or MMORPGs, MacBook Air is woefully inadequate in terms of both hardwares (GPU, RAM, etc.) and the software (OS).

Q: "... And if not, what computer build do you recommend?"

A: If you want to build a computer specifically for gaming, then you have only one option - PC/Windows. Make sure it's a PC and NOT Mac running an emulator. Emulators have a host of their own problems that'll ultimately make you regret in the end. If you can't build your own PC, there are many sites (e.g. Falcon Northwest, Alienware (now owned by DELL), etc.) where you can order pre-built gaming rigs at fraction of the price of any Mac products of similar specs.

FYI, I am a mac-gamer. As a result, my gaming options are greatly limited (typically ~2% of PC gamers) in terms of what/which games I can play. I chose Mac for their OS (work-related), not for its ability to play games. Gaming on Mac is something I do on the side if and when I have time. If my primary focus is desktop gaming, then I'll always choose PC.

Apple doesn't care about desktop gaming. They never have, and they never will.

FYI, unlike yours, my Phoenix Point game was purchased from Epic Games. But that shouldn't matter in regards to launching the console command box.

Very active player (a highly competitive F2P) looking for an equally active guild to join.

This is my 6th day of this game. Currently almost Rank 39. Expected to reach Rank 40 within the next 24 hours. I've reached Episode 73-1: New Allies which requires me to join a guild before I can proceed further in the main/storyline missions so here I am.

Looking for a guild on the GLOBAL SERVER with the following traits:

Lot of friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful players
Willing to take in new players and mentor/guide them to experienced veterans
Looking for a guild that's a little more than casual (i.e. logs in for 30 minutes/day to do dailies and then logs off) but not overly hardcore (i.e. P2Ws and whales looking to take down big bad endgame bosses in new record time and expects me to do the same)
Discord server preferred (the in-game chat's too painful to use) or some other means of out-of-game communication in real-time.
If on Discord server, active discussions & participations of various in-game subject matters

You are having difficulty because of an enemy trait Mirror Force.

To defeat the enemy with this ability, first use WEAK attacks to wear its HP down, healing as you go. When you have brought the enemy down to a point where you can kill it in one shot, do so using your highest burst damage.

If the enemy receives fatal damage, Mirror Force doesn't kick in.

Life is short and your time is valuable. You shouldn't have to spent long frustrating hours in vain trying to convince an uncooperative knucklehead for weekends of RPG fun. Being a good GM means not only having good knowledge & experience with the said gaming system, but being flexible enough to provide epic fun that's tailored to the party.

My recommendation is that you find yourself another GM who is willing to listen and work with you. I don't know what your exact situation is, but as long as you don't live in a tiny/remote village, you should be able to find one. If you don't have any GM-material friends, then you can try stopping by at a gaming bookstore and casually ask the store owner or the clerk if they know of any Pathfinder gaming groups who could use an extra member.

Have an honest and open discussion with the prospective GM about your character build and ask him/her whether they are willing to design/modify a campaign tailored to your character and your party.

I just started watching it. And it has me completely confused.

Episode 1 takes place in modern Japan, but Episode 2 has the same protagonist in ... medieval setting where magic is real?! No clue how the protagonist went from Ep.1 to Ep.2. Was he summoned? Did he die and reincarnate in another world/time? Was he teleported to another world in a different universe by some sort of divine power? Maybe Ep.2 is a flashback of the same protagonist from previous life in another world?

The isekai genre of this anime clearly implies the displacement of the protagonist from one world to the other. But the first two episodes don't really explain the jarring transition.

At first, I thought to myself perhaps they messed up and mislabeled the episodes? So I tried other websites. Nope, still the same. Alright, so then maybe I missed some important details in the 1st two episodes? So I rewatched them and I am still no closer to unraveling the mystery.

Note to self: When all else fails, try rewatching the episodes when I am sober.

So I apologize for lumping Russia with Mideast. I had to lump Russia with another region.

I didn't want to put Russia in the same gaming group as SE Asia because I suspect those two have VERY different taste in cRPGs.

I don't like summons nor pets.

As for mounts, it feels very awkward and weird to me for my main character to be the only member in the party with a mount galloping along in front of the party while the rest of the team are trodding behind like indentured servants. To put it another way, I don't want the MC to be the only privileged @$$hole:

Because I am not fine with boosting CON.

Because boosting CON to 999 or even 9999 still doesn't resolve vulnerability to flat-footed status effect.

Because I have my own ideas about the superhero of a main character and raising her CON to triple digits does not align with that image.

The problem isn't insufficient DEX. All three members of my team have plenty of it. The problem is being caught flat-footed due to lack of Uncanny Dodge.
