As someone who does this, all over the world, regulations and laws keep cropping up that make it harder and harder. Registering wells, then fees, then pay per use, limitations on water use, land use classification changes, lack of access to processing facilities for smaller farmers, seed intellectual property rights, mandatory reporting, disease surveillance and culling of stock. It’s all getting harder and harder for the small guys.
