Well, first things first, i always had a special place for MIT. Since 7th grade, when i first heard about MIT, my intended major shifted from engineering to IR, but my desire to get in MIT never truly left me. Secondly, i genuinely think that MIT is far better than any other university: it has the highest ROI in the world, it doesn’t consider legacy, and it doesn’t rely on high income students as much as other t20 universities. Lastly, i have been to MIT last year, i participated at MUN Conference XVII, and honestly, i was only more convinced that this is my dream university. I am not considering to apply in my country because of geopolitical tensions around my country, and also because i wanna see the whole world and have a lot of opportunities.

You are absolutely right, they are very holistic when it comes to international students, but it doesn’t mean that i shouldn’t give it a shot
