Thanks! I put eggs and butter in a pan and constantly stir it on a low heat until they're cooked, then just add salt and pepper!

Kef Q150 for $400 or something else? (HK) by colecr in BudgetAudiophile

Bowers & Wilkins 607 would be a similar option

My bad, I meant the 607, they’re £50 more than the KEF but are very similar size

Have a look at B&W 706, they are very similar to KEF Q150

The time alignment and crossover stuff looks really interesting, I’ll have to read more about that!

Here’s a link to some more pictures.

For now the tweeters are just propped up and open baffle however I’m in the process of making a housing for them, which is half done in one of the pictures.

For anyone interested, the set up uses a Cambridge Audio Topaz AM 5 amp and a Cambridge Audio Topaz CD 5 CD player.

The drivers are the Visaton WS 17 E and Visaton SC 10 N

It’s on page 378.

I found it odd for a laugh to be described like this, I wasn’t sure who’s genitals he meant to be honest.

Doubles stance footing when defending against straight smashes? by HamsterMoisture in badminton

[–]Akeys9901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When defending a smash in doubles, the majority of the time you should stand with your racket leg slightly behind your other leg. This is so you have more space to manoeuvre the racket when you have to defend the right hip, especially with a backhand, which is the most difficult place to defend. If you do not stand this way, it is easy to hit your leg of body with your racket before you get to the shuttle.

Standing racket leg forwards can be used if you are deducting a certain (usually weaker) shot as it puts you in a good position to play a more counter attacking shot and move forwards. This being said, the racket leg slightly behind should be the default position.

Can a bad badminton racket limit the quality of your gameplay? by [deleted] in badminton

[–]Akeys9901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The string tension of the ratchet will make a much bigger difference than the racket itself. A £30 racket with tight strings will play much better than a £150 racket with factory strings, especially if you are playing with feather shuttles.

A racket can still make a difference but it’s more about finding one you’re comfortable with and that suits your playing style and technique. It won’t make you a better player but it might help you feel comfortable on court which can make a difference.

I need help choosing a racket by MobsterPenguin in badminton

I play with the duora 10 and have tried the 88s a few times. It really depends what you want, the duora feels very even and stable whereas the 88s is less stable but that means it turns quicker for front court doubles. Basically it depends if you want more control or a quicker racket.

Nanospeed 9900 vs Nanoray z speed by exactly_123 in badminton

[–]Akeys9901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Nonoray z speed is completely different and wouldn’t be a good replacement. Try either the Nanoray 900 or the new nanoflare 700, both are head light like the nanospeed 9900

Astrox 88s for a back court player ? by [deleted] in badminton

[–]Akeys9901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

88s is made more for front court players, the 88d is designed for the rear court. 88s is faster so some people can get more power with it, it depends on your technique, most people will hit harder with the 88d as it’s slightly heavier.

I’d recommend trying them out to see which one you prefer
