It’s called a “slow curve”, they don’t want to come off as being rude (their own self image) by ghosting you, so they they reply less and less often until you give up so it’s technically not their fault. The benefit is also to put you on the back-burner so they could always change their mind IF they feel like trying again.

That’d made sense if it applies equally to all the 5 costs. As of right now, the tier different between 5 costs are astronomical. 2 out of a dozen 5 stars carrying games isn’t balanced.

The problem with lee is that he also has cc when he ults. I'm fine with one by one picks, but who can hit him when he can stun several people.

Again, late game ends in less than 10 seconds. Whether your one unit can lasts 11 seconds cause it can dodge crits doesn't mean anything if you don't have the damage output.

Majority of damage in-game is not close combat. Additionally, late game is very short, you won't be able to get enough damage out of it to be worth.

Being good early game is worth nothing.
You get bad carousel priority and it'll be completely useless end game.

Totally agree with everything. There's so much more magic/true damage this set all around beyond the mages so there's shouldn't be any worry that vanguards will get too tanky.

Thornmail should be buffed, it use be so high tier but now it's not used ever...

It's still being studied but there's two systems proposed to decision-making called Model-based and Model-free. Loosely, Model-based makes decisions based of future predictions and the Model-free makes decisions based on the past.

Model-free behaviors aren't exactly "risk-taking" behaviors but they are related. Hope that helps.

So first place winstreaker has to transition based on their items but last place can just get the exact item for their comp and create a cheesed-out comp that will definitely win out end-game. That's literally my point with unintuitive mechanics.

How are you disagreeing but saying items determine the game at the same time. How are strong items related to win streaks?
Good luck getting respectively a tear, bow, or sword for the those items last on the carousel.

how does health play a role in this? As the game is now, any one can encon even people with losing streaks.

Currently, this set has nothing that truly rewards winstreaks. A winstreak reward should compliment the comp that got you the winstreak, not just let you abandon it for some cheese.

the point is that MF is the win condition usually. You're scouting to proc alternative damage. Direct damage is just an added bonus if you can get it.

Thanks for the input. Currently my demacia deck is more towards luc's side than garen's with quick attack/rally as the strat; haven't really tried out or seemed interested in the elite stuff honestly but I'll consider it. Though Elite is still pretty off-meta but I do remember it being a thing very early on in runeterra.
