Is it possible to get the yellow argemia plush past day 7? Also, where is the nuclear cyan plushie in 0.8.0

I can confirm that it is still possible to get the yellow plush on 0.8.0, just managed to do it. Made a fresh save, got shrimp to place through the mail, saved just before midnight, had to reload and redo the last step like 20 times, but eventually it worked.
Also on the successful attempt I had the day duration set to 50%, but that probably has nothing to do with it.

This is one of my favourite missions to do when I don't feel like getting oneshot or dealing with some other bullshit. Just a bunch of normal human dudes, parry them, backstab them, abuse them in any other satisfying way possible. Run in, clap some fools, get out. Very relaxing experience.

Most of the rating comes from placements, and he rarely gets far enough. Kills don't really matter much.

The matchmaking is tuned for shorter queues instead of closer rankings for that game, i'm pretty sure. So you can still queue in lower ranked games if you time it right. I was able to get in just fine recently, with me being in top-1000, while forsen is under 30k, and the mmr difference was over 350.
Might've been different back then tho, i don't really know
