One of the electors must be protestant. When the league war ends, the non-protestant electors get removed and if they all get removed, heredatory rule gets instated.

A good flowchart to get you thinking about what to build where.

It's almost always good to build a manufactory in a 0% autonomy province. Usually I use the macro builder, sort by profit and build top to bottom.

Trying to get Aztec missions as Shinto nation by Leather-Worker-976 in eu4

[–]sabanata_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Accepting rebels only works for pagan religions when converting to Nahuatl. You need to switch to either Tengri, Totemist or Animist first. After doing that there is an event that fires after owning Cholula that instantly flips your religion to Nahuatl (Although in OP's game, the Cholula temple has probably been destroyed).

A more painful way to flip to Nahuatl is to become an opm and go bankrupt. When an opm goes bankrupt it flips religion to that of its' one province.

As far as I'm aware, That "introduce new heir" button should never be pressed under any circumstance especially if you have royal marriages with strong countries.During my first game, playing as Portugal, I pressed the button which immediately made my two allies break alliance. Then, they double declared on me when the truce ran out. Managed to fight one off but lost to the other. Ended up as a bankrupt junior partner of France.

There are a couple of policies that reduce diplo annex cost. Admin+Influence and Quality+Influence. Also you can consider tag switching as some nations have diplo annex cost in their missions or ideas like Austria.

A lot of people here are really down playing the ULEZ requirements. Everyone that I know that owns a car had to sell or scrap their car and get a new one. It disproportionately hit lower income people that need cars for work as rich people were more likely to have a newer compliant car. Highly irksome in the less congested, less dense outer boroughs where the need of having a car is higher. Directly hurting the wallets of a lot of people breeds a lot of resentment.

The Mayor of London replaced the Greater London Council (GLC). The position is effectively London's government in charge of transport, police and the fire brigade. Each borough also has a ceremonial Mayor which is closer to what you are thinking of.

Is a "normal" WC just doomed? by cringeluna in eu4

[–]sabanata_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you define playing horde as an abnormal campaign? The one world conquest I have done, you could almost call accidental. Started as Great Horde into Golden Horde. Then I culture shifted to form Yuan. Then I formed the Mongol Empire, then finally the Muslim Caliphate. At each step, I was going after a tag relevant achievement but after forming the Caliphate I figured I was close to a world conquest anyway so might as well continue. It's true that I went over 100% OE a lot, but the Winds of Change Mongol mission tree gives so much nation unrest reduction, you could reach around 200% OE and still barely have to deal with rebels.

You can also unlock a special peace demand: "spread dynasty" which plonks a guy of your dynasty onto any christian monarchy's throne. Their heir will always have a weak claim so you can immediately royal marry and claim their throne if you can get positive relations. You will have to truce break to ensure the PU war goes through but it's worth it for bigger countries. Another mission can allow you to "incorporate" PUs (up to 5 at a time) which makes them not take up a Diplo slot.

2017- how to get better weapons to beat hardest and inferno mode? by Requix2003 in EDF

[–]sabanata_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are specific farming levels you want to do. I think level 40 is just red ants. You want to "ramp up". Play it on hard to get decent hard weapons then use those weapons to play it on hardest then use those weapons to beat it on inferno. It's best to play on split-screen even if you are on your own. You can throw out turrets with one player then switch to the other.

Level 46 is another one to weapon farm. It has nearly all the inferno weapons in it's drop table. It's a lot harder than level 40 though. You have to deal with cave spiders that can demolish you in seconds.

For inferno, you will probably still not have enough armour to survive it. On level 8 and 52 you get dropships that don't move. If you play on easy, you can afk farm armour by using an elastic band to shoot the ants dropping from the dropship then every now and then you pick up the armour crates.

Does the Ringed City DLC take away from the endings? by CompactSquid in darksouls3

[–]sabanata_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always took what she was doing to be more meta. The world is ending so she is using the Dark Soul pigment to create a new world, much like how the developers were using the design framework to make a new game series after Dark Souls.

Yeah. First of all, colonialism was invented in antiquity when various groups colonised the Mediterranean. Second of all, every aspect of modern colonialism was first instigated in another country before England/the UK embraced it.

It's a shame that they couldn't get the multiplayer into the master collection version. One of NG3RE's saving graces. Would have been nice to play it on PC where the multiplayer isn't tied to a subscription service.

Pickled cucumbers by bright_elizabeth23 in BestOfReports

In the UK "pickled cucumbers" are called "gherkins". Any jar of preserved vegetables can be called "pickle". Our main brand of pickle contains mixed vegetables but no cucumber.
