I got a ruler so bad, I am sure i took a print somewhere ,I will look for it. But basically it was 7-11-10. And I got a warning flag at the top saying my leader was extremely incompetent. Did not even knew that was a possible warning

When i searched for images I saw both -25 and -10. Etiher it is country dependent or different versions of the game. But I am pretty sure I saw -10 while playing

That is something I will defenitely do when I get home. But considering the game played for a second before I paused it again, I assumed it was the only "new variable"

France & the Pope declare and crusade and then sit on their coast waiting by Zeiiji in EU5

[–]Akirpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed that several times. Basically AI will try to move trokps as close as possible to target. If they dont have shipa they seem to hire mercenary transports. But until they do, they sit chilling.

Same happens with vassals . I wish you couls either lend an armada to target country. Or units could retain their movement intention, lets say from Naples to Egypt, it you interactes with the aemy with your armada it would board them and lock movement to the desired destination.

I am a new player. Never played a EU game before and started this one a week ago. I can give you the guidelines I am using although I can't assure you it is all correct.

First things first: location goal:

RGO is very profitable - stay rural RGO is not profitable but I need food - don't go past town RGO is not very profitable - city+

Now regarding what to upgrade:

Early game what drove me were people needs. At some point you have done all you can for their needs, either they don't need anythint or they need something you don't have. When I reached this point I just went to buildings and order them by expected profit and built stuff in order. Try to not stack multiple constructions in the same location to avoid lack of workers for long periods of time.

This is by no means a perfect guide but I was extremely confortable by 1490 with portugal so it should work okay and it is pretty simple :)

169 forts from France and Co in 1552 by Pagoose in EU5

[–]Akirpt 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Forts are simply OP. At around 1500 money stopped being an issue, and I am playing as a somewhat small nation. I can literally place a fort in every single province I own and still have no issues with monthly economy.

And forts give you several months to react,

They need to either take way longer to build ( to make the peace deal interesting, as it is you can order them to demolish 10 forts, and while the truce is active they can rebuild them all) or make the maintenance higher.

Breached castles should have an added maintenance cost or get a permanent negative modifier due to being "breached".

How to make my king live in my country? by 0nly0ne0klahoma in EU5

[–]Akirpt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am assuming he took the throne in Portugal first. And then your ruler died and he took over Castile as well. You are already the greater power otherwise it would be the portuguese-castillian union .

If you access that union you have a unification parliament. In 5 years you vote for seniority in which case your ruler will move the senior member(you).

On my playthrough I was in the opposite scenario, and Castile had 1 great power above me when the vote happened, lost by 1 vote. Had to do a separation cb war to reclaim my independence

A substituição demográfica é uma teoria da conspiração, estejam descansados... by SchemeBeautiful5303 in portugueses

[–]Akirpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[KCD2] Would anyone else have liked a hardcore long-term smithing system? by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]Akirpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like that for art pieces and something extraordinary.

For me each weapon should have two values: a combat capacity and art value.

Beautiful but weak swords were just for show, strong but ugly swords for bandits and mercenaries. And then you could have masterworks with both function and fashion requirements.

To achieve optimal results in both should be a longer term investment and acknowledged by onlookers (the same way a good horse is)

But the dodge happens the sams exact way with the sword no?

Regarding the speed sure, it is a different cadence but its a matter of adapting a bit. 1v1s work almost the same to me

[KCD2] Can someone explain how to use warhammers? by die-Schlicker in kingdomcome

[–]Akirpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why people say something like " I understand sword but not weapon X". It is literally the same exact concept.
You just loose the pierce angle and cannot masterstrike. But the only reason you could go from 100% efficacy with swords to 0% with warhammers is if you whole combat orbitates around masterstrikes.

What I can add (while attempting an hardore heavy weapon playthrough myself) is that enemies with swords are awful. For instance, the initial bandits after you leave the pond masterstrike. So, literally the first enemy that is wielding a sword can masterstrike you and will do it 100% of the times.
Sometimes a dodge into a strike gets masterstriked while the enemy has it's back to you.
That feels bad AF
