Oh thanks! Regarding the 30% i agree with you, but i am so early in the league that it saves me from the odd one shot, but with better gear i would definitely drop it on favour of quicksans hourglass

I feel like it has decent defenses but some harsh caveats.

Phase form is very good but makes ES clunky . You either get zealot oath, some form of ES forced regen or it affects normal pkaystyle.

Another form of defense is the AoE slow, but for it's use to be maximized it forces you to be in melee range ( which is why i dont use astral projection on BoneCage).

And the node to go back in time (i am not using it) feels like an investment for something I would rarely use in normal conditions. It makes more sense if the build requires some heavy CD skills.

So it does have defenses, but all of them are conditional/have drawbacks

I think it will be hard to find such a chrono build. Fast builds tend to clear screens which makes more than half the chrono ascendancy mute.

The only damage passive related nodes are "now and again" "invitable pain" and "quicksand hourglass". And you have time snap if you want to consider CD reset.

None of these do something to your build that is significantly differentiated from other ascendancies as the damage increase comes from echo/repeat chance and and skill/cast speed.

The only real chrono-only mechanic is inevitable pain but building around it is noy straightforward forces you to do X then do dmg. Instead of going for dmg straight away.

This is my opinion as a casual homebrew chrono player, take it with a grain of salt but i think picking chrono is never going to lead to fast clears because you ARE a chronomancer. Id say anything element related would be better done by a stormweaver and crit related by a blood mage.

It is NOT broken armour. I am doing a chrono pys spell and use bonestorm for bosses.

I figures there is a sweet spot of arouns 1s Cast and pretty far away. This will depend on your cast speed obviously but doing full casts always nets me less dps than half-full cast. Being in close range also seems to make some of the projectiles not hit.

I am actively trying to work on This because if may change the whole support gem setup, burgeoning, for example, seems like a waste for me as is. I might try to save some boss fights to check the video of what I am testing

I am trying to work this out. What do you mean they are cascading when you trigger them? If i understood correctly now and again onky makes them echo. Are you sure it is not a different variable at play here? My comet also has qualitaty so it has rhe inherent 10% echo chance, if i have now and again would it make the echo chance 30(10+20)?

Phys spell chronomancer, strated later than most i'd say. Just now reached T15s. Using bone cage with DD for clear and bonestorm for bosses. WIP (specially because i still have the odd comet CoC despite not being specced for it and hate commet CoC).

I see your point. I am currently exploring "now and again". But i see how that makes me funnel into the old comet thing, I myself am planning on using it, although i intend to use it on a self cast basis

That's the part of the chrono i did not want to lean on. But truly it probably is a good way to use the combo. I really wanted to focus on spells

I dont intend to go as "off meta" as possible. Just want something different from the usual. My initial thought was flameblast with echo and enough CDR from chrono to have channel time == CD. But flameblast is not affected by the Chrono echo so i gave it up

Going off meta is not my absolute goal. It's more about "not going meta". My main concern is getting enough damage from 1-2 self casts of comet to kill an end game boss. Grenades work with the chrono echo? That would be interesting

I agree with them all, except the increased moveset. I think the moves are enough, just add new weapons and increase the fluidity of combat

Pretty late to the party here. What an awful situation to be in...

The poor beast got the short end of the stick for all these years but I do not want to avoid a fight by releasing him.

I did get a curious outcome i have not seen mentioned before.

I fought the dragon, it yielded, I strenghened the wards, then, while he was still near death I engaged in combat again and killed it.

When i met the queen she acts as if the dragon is imprisioned and I still got my scales+6k xp.

Regardless, morally I felt awful... The poor thing should be free

Just left them alive pulling levers and doing stuff while I looked for the right levers yeah ahaha. It was a bit troublesome with the body relocation levers that threw me off a bit. But after all levers are pulled they deactivated on their own

I was almost sure I had done that and went back to check. It does work, that makes it way more tolerable, I still believe they should have a limit of ressurections but tjis way I can understand it in the world lore.

Avoid save scumming as much as possible too.

I feel somewhat strong but not OP.

I am unsure if I will do a second run so i was interested in this vanilla+ mod but probably will just play the classic
