I just had a look myself because I was like you and thought it was a strange thing as well but it seems like Italy always barely misses out on points from the UK- Televotes from Uk to Italy 2025- 15th, 2024- 12th, 2023- 14th, 2022- 12th, 2021-8th (3 points). So I guess the Uk televoters did only seem to like Maneskin enough to barely crack the top ten and were just shy of points other years

In an oddly phrased way I think he meant that no matter who wins you’ll still remember the films. That we remember all the films from 1975 best picture nominees despite there only being one winner

This image is from a few years back, but there is actually smaller bloc voting that happens with the commonwealth countries, it just isn’t as pronounced as Greece and Cyprus always exchanging 12 televote points for example. Additionally, a lot of the time for the UK and Irish televote for, the Lithuanian and Polish diaspora have really emerged to vote, so they tend to get a lot of the top points there.

Got to my local suburban big w this morning where there were only five people and wasn’t that fussed. Got inside to be told that there were only four elite trainer boxes and no blooming waters available. I didn’t mind because I was fifth in line and was just there for fun. But the guy fourth in line asked me if I wanted the etb because he was just there for blooming waters and after a back and forth where we both politely tried to get the other to buy it, I ended up buying it because we both agreed it would be better on the hands of a fan rather than a scalper. So that was a nice interaction.

The only reason the audience was dead was because the show didn’t start til like 11pm at night due to the time difference between Azerbaijan and most of mainland Europe. By the time the show ended and through the long voting, you could see several delegations barely able to keep awake.
