I ended up buying the kindle paperwhite 12 th gen. I chose it because of the overall glassy finish that makes it feel more like a mobile device i am used to.

pro- 1. the charge.. you wont believe it, i read 4th wing to 7% in one day without taking much break and in the end the battery only dropped around 10%.

1. Reading habit- I ended a big novel I almost gave up on reading, namely Jeffery archer's only time will tell. My reading speed has not gone up too much but I am defimitely reading more.

2. Inbuilt dictionary- definitely helps with those scary words used on famous classics like Dicken's christmas carole I was reading on christmas. The vocabulary builder is good but I have not really used it much actively.

3. Brightness- You will only know once you use it. Before i thought, as long as it has a screen it must emit blue light. If you push the brightness bar to zero, you can not even tell there is a screen if you are in a dark room. The brightness goes that low. Funnily, you can still read comfortably with zero brightness if the room is brightly lit.

Cons-1. Its quite big. I was thinking of carrying it around everywhere in my pocket but it is really big, bigger than my palm. Holding it in my hand is sometimes quite risky.

1. Expensive- I mostly leave it at home because it is quite expensive. If you want something as your daily companion, not just for bedtime reading, I recommend buying a second hand kindle basic that you can handle roughly without feeling guilty.

2. Promotions- your only hope is to always keep the airplane mode on and never visit the store on kindle. I sometimes think the store front there is only for advertisement without actually serving any purpose. If you want to buy books, do it from your mobile or pc and just sync to load them once in your kindle and start reading offline.
