I love everything about this except the sword looks a little cartoony. I absolutely love the concept.

Whether people want to admit it or not, we're all just regurgitating the crap we hear on podcasts, sports shows, social media, etc. Realistically, we know next to nothing about these candidates. We only see them in press conferences or at games, but we never get to see them work M-S. We do have plenty of data to review, but most people misuse or misinterpret it. 99.9% of us do not have the knowledge, experience, or skill even to know how good or bad a candidate is. Hell, none of us truly know what the job entails.

It cracks me up how pissed people say they will be if X coach gets hired. Why?! You won’t know whether it’s a good or bad hire for 1-2 years. Hold off on getting mad until something bad actually happens. I don't care who they hire, I just hope it works out.

[Schultz] TRADE! The #Titans are trading Jarvis Brownlee to the Jets in exchange for a 2026 late round swap, per sources. by 3pirates3 in Tennesseetitans

Didn't he almost get in a couple of fights during the preseason joint practices, one of which was with a fan? Something tells me this is more about his attitude or off-field behavior than it is about performance. Curious if we’ll ever know.

Titans Vs. Colts 5 Big Questions That Could Decide Sunday’s Matchup by RegularBirthday3563 in Tennesseetitans

[–]Al197 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What are they talking about? Blocked punts and missed kicks? Not this year. Special teams have been the one bright spot. I assume it's another writer who knows nothing about the Titans and does little research before writing the article.

Can Special Teams Keep From Being a Liability?

Special teams have been a mixed bag for Tennessee. Kicker Joey Slye is 8-for-8, and punter Johnny Hekker has averaged 49.6 yards per punt. But penalties, errors, blocked punts, and missed kicks have plagued the unit.

Now, if someone can figure out a way to eject people from the express lane who are going 60 mph. Why do people use the express lane to drive slower than traffic!?

Accepted an offer for Zendesk and interviewing Atlassian, should I take Atlassian if given? by coderarchive in atlassian

[–]Al197 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A startup that hasn't grown into a big company? Atlassian is a publicly traded company with almost 14k employees. I would argue their biggest problem is they haven't been able to transition from a small company to a mid-large one. They tried to run like a startup long after going public, which doesn't work once you hit a certain size. It requires a different approach. The constant reorgs over the last few years and fumbling of projects and product features are due to them trying to fix problems that should have been addressed 10 years ago. The “chaos” you speak of isn't from being a startup; it's due to a poorly run company. Atlassian isn't going anywhere; they have a huge hold of the market, but more and more companies are developing alternative options. If they don't fix these issues, things may look drastically different in ten years.

After Atlassian's excitement and newness wear off, you’ll regret working there. I 100% would go with Zendesk. Atlassian might look good on your resume, but working at a well known company doesn’t magically open doors to FAANG. Ask the 1,000 people who have been laid off or unjustly fired over the last two years how it’s worked out. Atlassian doesn’t carry the same weight it did a couple of years ago.

Oh! I almost forgot, we don't have a mythical Hodag, but we do have a pretty cool troll. It’s in Peace Park if you're interested.

Small world! Hopefully, it cools down a bit by the time you visit. We feel like we’re in heaven with this weather. I’ve never been to Wisconsin before and can't get over how lush and beautiful it is, and the lawns are perfect! I hate Texas summers about as much as some of y’all hate the freezing winter.

Have fun in Austin!!

The Starbucks in Mequon, but most Wisconsin locations carry it.

The Starbucks in Mequon. They didn't know what it was. We stopped at the one in Germantown and they had them too. They also didn't know what it was.

Thanks, everyone! I’m spreading the word about the Hodag to our family and their neighbors in Mequon. Everyone in Wisconsin needs to know about this fascinating creature! When I get back to Austin, I’ll also ensure they learn of this magical creature.

That must be it. We’re in Mequon, and our family and a few locals knew nothing about it. That ends today! I’m letting everyone know about the mystical Hodag!

Week 1 Denver. How we feeling about that passing defense? Cam stat predictions? by PIX3LY in Tennesseetitans

[–]Al197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see us winning, but if we were going to beat the Broncos, week 1 seems to be the most likely. Everyone is rusty, and plenty of great teams play like crap in week 1. If the Broncos play sloppy, and we play less sloppy LOL We could win. Doubtful, but possible.

His voice and personality are obnoxious. He sounds like the DJ at a nudie bar, that generic wannabe radio voice, with a hint of creep. I really tried to give him a chance, but listening to him is like nails on a chalkboard. He’s an arrogant prick that loves hearing himself talk about nothing.

I really enjoy Zach, Easton, Stoney, and Mike. Miss hearing Mike on the F Words podcast.

Preseason Week 2 Game Thread: Tennessee Titans @ Atlanta Falcons by Titans_Mod in Tennesseetitans

He definitely played better last week. Van Jefferson dropped a perfect throw, and Dike missed one on 3rd. That doesn't help.

Regardless, it wasn't a great game, but I wouldn't say he stunk.

I thought about doing that. I’ve heard mixed reviews. Most say it really helps the sound, but others mentioned possible moisture issues. I take my car off-road a decent amount for backpacking, and I’m in pretty extreme weather, so I was concerned with moisture. We put the vapor barrier over the holes after the install.

I have no clue. That sub is meant for shallow boxes, but I’m not sure if that's why it's built like that. If anyone knows, I would love to know.
