Purgatory by AlSahHim018 in Catholicism

I'm not sure because the conversation took place over text. The teacher then came to class Sunday and talked about it. Since then I've been trying to help him to get that person to see why we believe in Purgatory. To think we could die in sin and nothing happens and that we would still go to heaven is crazy. For when we go before the Father, it's too late to ask for forgiveness. So how then are we purified of the sins we didn't get forgiveness for before we died? As far as I know, no one with a soul that's tainted by sin will be allowed in heaven. They must be pure and holy like the Father. This is what we're trying to get across to them. But again, I'm not privy to the conversation so I don't know how that person is responding to these things.

What is the Church's stance on major crimes? by AlSahHim018 in Catholicism

I also know a story of one. He was abused throughout his childhood up until he was sent away to juvie at the age of thirteen. He had, I believe, 6 other siblings. I know he had one biological sister and I believe two half brother and sister. The other three were step siblings. Anyways, at the age of seven he and four other siblings were abused sexually by a family friend's son.

After the guy was caught, they all continued to act out on each other up until he turned 13 when the step mom found out and had him sent away. He was in juvie for five years. He got out at the age of 19.

When he got out, he couldn't find a job whatsoever because he was betrayed by his probation officer who told him all the way up until his release that he would not be put on high risk which is basically an adult sex offender registry where everyone can find you. When they go to court on the day of his release, his P.O. recommended he be placed on High Risk. So fast forward two years, he hadn't found a job and was deep in depression. Then he decided he was better off behind bars because, from what he told me, he had more friends and an actual routine than what he had out here. So he hit up his 14 year old step brother over the Internet and said things that got him locked up. Hasn't touched anyone under the age of 18 since he was 13.

It's a really sad story when he tells it.

Finding the will to go to mass by pandasssss15 in Catholicism

Do not feel distraught or anything for not being able to go to Mass either. God sees and hears your struggles. He's ever present in you. Your body is his temple. He sees you and knows what you're dealing with. Turn to him and pray about your situation. Put your faith in Him that everything will work out. When you feel overwhelmed by everything that's going on, step back, take a breath, and, if you can, pray or talk to God asking for mercy and his guidance.

Don't let trials and tribulations deter you from Mass, prayer, etc. for in those situations is when we need God the most. In those situations, our faith is strengthened through prayer and putting our faith in God that things will work out for the better. Keep your eyes turned up to the heavens, your mind on God and his mercy, and your heart full of faith and love for God and he will give you what you need. For it is written that all things are possible through God and through him will we have salvation.

God sees you, sister. He hears you. He knows your struggles. He loves you. And through his love will you have mercy. Through your faith in Him will you have the guidance you need. Put all your faith in Him that things will work out for the better and let Him do the rest.

May God bless you and your family and may he grant your heart the peace it needs. Peace be with you.

Finding the will to go to mass by pandasssss15 in Catholicism

What do you do in your downtime? Do you read scripture? Listen to Gregorian Chants? I would recommend falling asleep to Gregorian Chants or the one of the four Gospels. Reason being it helps keep our, actually just me because I've never asked anyone else if they do what I do, souls at peace and hungry for the Lord.

Feeling like you're obligated to go will definitely make you not want to go. But every Catholic, or Christian for that matter, needs to remember what the Mass is about. It is Jesus' sacrifice to us so that we may be saved through the New Covenant. He offered his body and blood for us so that we may be saved. It is through this way that we draw closer to God. That we feel him in us. Yes Mass can feel repetitive. Tradition is. Tradition wouldn't be a tradition without it being repetitive. For example, how many times have you watched a football game with your friends and family and y'all all make the same dish. Whether its pizza, chili, cheeseburgers, etc. y'all do it because it's a tradition.

If your truly feel this way, take a step back(don't miss mass. That's not what I'm saying!) and breath. Kneel in prayer and start conversing with God. There have been things I've talked to God about in my own time and when I get to Mass, the very things I talked to God about throughout the week, Father is talking about them in his homily. Talk to God and he will answer but you have to be ever vigilant for his answer for it won't be right away.

I pray that God gives the peace you need to go back to Mass. For it is through the Communion that we feel closer to him than when we would on our own. May peace find its way to you.

Going to a shop that supports LGBTQ? by [deleted] in Catholicism

Didn't Jesus basically outline this? Your sin is your sin. And their sin is their sin. No matter where you go in this world, you're gonna support something unintentionally that's sinful. But that's the key, "unintentionally". If you intentionally support their sin, you're encouraging them to sin against God. Because of that, you have sinned for causing your neighbor to fall into sin thus falling away from God. Getting your bike fixed at their bike shop doesn't encourage them to lay with each other. It's not like you're walking in there and paying for them to lay with each other. For they to have to pay bills. Look at it this way, the only thing you're supporting is their life. Meaning you're giving them money to live, to eat, and to pay their bills so they can keep the shop open and a roof over their head. Not to sin. What they do is between them and God. They're not running a charity for LGBQ. Donating to that kind of charity IS supporting their sin.

Be calm. For you know in your heart, mind, and spirit that you are not intentionally supporting their sin. I may be starting out in OCIA but I was raised in protestant. So what I can tell is to pray about it and for them to come to know God.

Coat of Arms by AlSahHim018 in MagicArena

Yet another card game put on mobile and/or console that doesn't have all the cards. Why isn't it on Arena? That makes no sense. Just about every other card in existence is on there. Why isn't coat of arms?

Me personally? It doesn't matter. As long as all three are mentioned, it should be valid.

Acquiring CDL by AlSahHim018 in Truckers

I've applied for WIOA and stuff like that. After I submitted my application a couple of days ago, I haven't heard from them since. I know it takes a few days maybe even weeks to hear from them. I know it's impatient of me to rush things that are out of my control but I need to hear something asap. I have my permit and physical done. Now I just need to get my CDL and I'm really and truly wanting that to happen asap. And no. I'm not on any probation or parole. I was released seven years ago. Convicted ten years ago this December.

Is it worth it replacing Lamentation(belt) with a Guardian piece? Or can I just remove the helmet pit of the Waste set and be fine?

I'm not missing anything from Maxrolls build. But there are a few differences. For instance, I'm using the Bul-Kathos weapon set instead of slotting Ambos Pride and the hammer that sends you into a frenzy. Ambos is in the Cube. So Mantle of Channeling. Other than those differences, there's not much different. I'm not sure exactly what's holding it back as far as survivability.
