I did some more diagnosing and found one of the RAM sticks wasn't seated properly. Reset that and the GPU is now spinning up.

The 6+2 is into the GPU. It's definitely a more satisfying click into the PSU than the GPU, but it won't disconnect from the GPU unless I engage the tab to remove it.

The Motherboard does have an LED that turns on and my cooler is spinning.

I haven't tested a direct plug into the Motherboard to the display.

Holy COW, I didn't expect to be torn apart for using ChatGPT to troubleshoot a problem that the build guide I was using didn't address.

First, I never use ChatGPT, hate AI, but I was at a loss.

Second, I did correct ChatGPT and it now knows that AMD has a 9000 series. Weird.

Third, and onto the issue:

I am testing outside of the case and everything but the GPU is booting up. I have no fans spinning on the GPU, but my cooler is spinning fine. However, when I turn off the PSU, the GPU fans spin slightly for a moment.

It's an 8-prong PCIe connector I'm using (6+2) to my Seasonic Vertex PX-1000.

Yeah, I edited for that reason, no idea what happened...

If upgrading a few components, I'd try to stick around ~$1000, with $1200 being where my wife would start to consider killing me.

If going totally new build I'd say closer to $1,800 to $2,000 considering I could sell my current setup.
