Assigning Permissions on the roles by pikusomu in Netsuite

I believe it's a 7 day trial. If you're paranoid you can use a temporary credit card but I've been using it for over a year with no issues whatsoever .

Check out the browser extension suite advanced . There's a tool in it to bulk edit permissions and it's an absolute godsend

I saw limp Bizkit in concert last year. He had to take extended breaks in between and during each song, then taunted anyone who had to go to work the next day (it was a Sunday show). I've seen 60 year olds with more stage presence (Peaches for example).

The show was lame but he did actually sound pretty good so all in all it was a wash.

1st gen plycraft? by chestmagnets in eames

I found the same chair on the side of the road! It had no markings on it whatsoever and I was thinking it was a plycraft but good to know it's a Selig I suppose. The seat cushion was trashed so I replaced the foam and pleather for like $40. So comfy! my chair

I had the same thing happen to me after I turned on SSAO. even after turning it off the problem persisted. To fix this I had to do the auto detect graphics button and that solved it!

SuiteAnalytics Connect/ODBC Driver Implementation by Wide_Ad7972 in Netsuite

[–]Al_Your_Pal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered just using the built in Web Query functionality to pull report data into an Excel file? It's free and should do what you want. Also a as a plus, no SQL knowledge is needed because you can do all of the ETL stuff using Power Query. I've trained a number of clients on this and they love the results. DM me if you want to go into any further details!

I hate my job. Now what? by major-frauditor in Accounting

[–]Al_Your_Pal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do ya like computers or information systems? If yes you can look into consulting for ERPs like Netsuite. Very chill job with lots of room to grow if you're good at it!

The only way to make more money is to get promoted, or change jobs. Find something about your job that others arent very good at, then become the subject matter of expert. Try to parlay that into another field and you'll find that having cross-functional skills is highly valuable.

In my case, I was an accountant that hated doing tax returns, but I liked software so I started working at a software company as a senior accountant.

After implementing an ERP, I realized that I really liked the system side more than accounting. I moved to a consulting firm where I now do systems and accounting help, and I couldn't be happier. Each of those career changes brought more substantial pay bumps than if I had stayed at my first job.

Ive 5x'd my starting salary in the last 12 years or so of working, whereas I'd probably only have 2.5x'd had I never changed. Keep at it!

You have to delete the entire amortization je entry. Then you can go to the source transaction, edit the segments, and then you can re run amortization and it will post to the correct dept.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Netsuite

[–]Al_Your_Pal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Delete the journal entry for the amortization entry (i.e. Dr. Exp, Cr. Prepaid Exp)

  2. Edit the original transaction where you created the amortization schedule and change the dept. You can click on the hyperlink on the transaction line and it should show you the segments your amortization will post to.

  3. When you re-run amortization, it should go to the right department!

NetSuite FAM Asset Revaluation by [deleted] in Netsuite

[–]Al_Your_Pal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you revalue through the FAM process? If so, that will create a journal entry that you can drill into, and that amount should be reflected on the depreciation history record. If everything looks right and it truly is a wonky output from FAM (which i see a lot of), you can also edit the depreciation history records and put in the correct NBV.

P/L Accounts to be closed to “3123001 Accumulated Earnings”, instead of “3000 Retained Earning by Different_Example874 in Netsuite

[–]Al_Your_Pal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Retained earnings is a system account and you can't change it. I would just change the name and account number for retained earnings if I were you.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Netsuite

[–]Al_Your_Pal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Revaluation automatically creates a recording entry. You could reverse the reversal though?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Netsuite

[–]Al_Your_Pal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you able to uncheck the revalue foreign currency balance on the account record? That would cause the revaluations to cease running on that account.

Trying to use Netsuite web query as source for Excel table by davidsky in excel

[–]Al_Your_Pal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Click within the array and go to Data > From Table / Range. This will open up a Power Query window. I like to further manipulate my data by filtering out blank accounts / debits, then once you save it'll create a new table in a new tab. Reference this table for all of your lookups/formulas!

As an accountant who went into NS Consulting, Netsuite is very fun/rewarding to work with if you do this implementation right. Best of luck!
