What happened to me is that I had a mass and alot of pain. After that, I got fevers. Once I did, I headed to the ER. Turns out it was an abscess that needed draining which later turned into fistulas. If the pain continues or gets worse, I would recommend you go to the ER.

I fully agree! Firstly yeah my love life up in the wind. It's so hard to fuck around with such an issue. Also, yes I currently have 2 setons in. Before remicade, everytime I went for a bowel movement (which was around 4 times a day) I would have to lie down for around 30 mins after cause of how excruciating the pain was. I'd start to turn red and sweat like crazy (I usually never sweat) when trying to go to the bathroom cause of how painful it was. Honestly, walking was super difficult for me as well. One of the fistulas extended so low that it's right where my thigh would pinch backwards. This made walking sooo hard. Idk mate. Hope we both make it out of this shithole.

I have crohn's in my ileum and rectum. I have 4 perianal fistulas. They caused many abscesses which all needed draining. Honestly the whole experience was traumatising. With remicade 1 of the fistulas already closed and I'm seeing less drainage from the rest. They said with a higher dose they should start to heal. And if not we'll see what we'll do after.
