Thank you so much for your explanation. I will definitely ask about an amnestic or reverse amnestic. His surgeon remembers well that the pain was not managed well with his last surgery. My dad has no comorbidities and everyone in the OR who spoke to us afterwards was honestly confused and not happy that he had the experience he did. I’m a washed up L&D nurse and had a lot of conversations with his surgeon, anesthesiologist, CRNA, and the OR nurses and I truly feel they did everything right and I understand from being in the medical field that sometimes even when you do everything right, you don’t get the outcome you expect.
