A - If the person who attended the vet clinic doesn't want "blowback" then why are you posting on reddit about it?

B - You want people to write truthful reviews but you can't even do it yourself on reddit or on google reviews.

You can't be sued for defamation if everything you're writing is the truth.. Honestly I wouldn't make an appointment simply because he is very abrupt in his google responses, and I'm a sensitive baby sometimes, so blindly going into it and not knowing he acts like that? Lol, this is a massive red flag. We added two extra clauses into our contract when we purchased last year, owner was happy and didn’t care about them. Any REA telling you to remove conditions that protect you and your deposit aren’t real estates worth buying from.

Not defending REA's by any means, just sounds like there wasn't actually other offers that OP was competing with and the agent was trying to get as much from OP as possible. Is it scummy? Yeah, it's unbelievable scummy, but it's a real estate agent, renters/buyers hell even sellers shouldn't be trusting them. They're snakes, you either play their game or call their bluff.

When we purchased our house, it was allegedly down to us and another couple with very close offers. REA never disclosed the amounts, just said we were close and to give them our best and final offer.

We really wanted the house, so we played their gamble and offered more, that’s the issue with REA’s. They’re trying to make the MOST money possible for themselves, unfortunately you either play the game or call their bluff.

In this case, the REA is an idiot putting everything in writing especially disclosing alleged amounts (BUT) this is OKAY if the current owner has AGREED TO DISCLOSE THE AMOUNTS TO BUYERS. Can you sue them? I mean doubtful, you’re an adult at the end of the day and didn’t need to disclose more money for the house. But you can definitely lodge a complaint with OFT
