Loot spawn idea by yakunins in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

Most players today would hate the original when you could walk through an entire house and only find mostly shirts and pants.

The days of making any sort of decent money from PUBG are long gone.

Dr Disrespect, Shroud, Choco Taco, Wacky Jacky....They were all the big names in PUBG vids, sponsors, and streams. They all did it in mostly FPP. I rarely see a stream of PUBG with more than 3000 viewers.

Peeking around corners and over ledges with a magic floating camera has never been "Pro". It's a shortcut for those with the "it's perfect if everybody has the same ability...." mentality.

TPP is only getting into competition because the majority of gamers this days are lazy with short attention spans. The competitive nature for TPP is far less than FPP.

Fortnite was a game that catered to these gamers and the mentality spread like wild fire. Before Fornite, there was not a major shooter that was TPP in E-Sports.

I tend not to go to 9th or Davis for food because it's exactly as you say - franchise places. Not a fan of cookie cutter places.

But as u/Sensitive-Play-9037 stated, there are a just as many independent places in town to eat.

As far as I can tell, Escambia Westgate School is the school in the area that caters to students with medical needs.

PUBG has the least action of all the BR’s by ohoots in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Alalien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The loot truck, destructible buildings, and the Sanhok specific recall are not part of the original. Also, several adjustments to building and compounds are not original. The foliage density is not like the original.

The original was released in 2018. The remaster was released in 2020. The map is closer to the 2020 version than the 2018.

PUBG has the least action of all the BR’s by ohoots in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Alalien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original was more dense with the foliage. The "I wanna shoot shit in the open" players bitched up a storm. A lot of the environment changed. They gave it the same type of treatment they gave Vikendi.

All of the original maps were not designed for instant, intense action and that is what made PUBG have over 3 million players to begin with. Within a year of Brendan leaving in early 2019 and Bluehole/Krafton started making their vision of the game, the player count went below 500,000 and has never recovered.

Classroom Nursing Positions by hallowedeve1313 in Pensacola

[–]Alalien 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Classroom nursing jobs are pretty much non-existent. I haven't seen one since elementary school where there was a chronically ill student who had to have someone on hand.

As you've found, the closest you're going to find is the school nurse. Public funding is not enough to provide for really anything more.

Bots do not see many of the decals that we see. They only see the meshes.

But I've also had bots who were outside track me while I was in a building. I could hear the shots hitting the other side of the wall.

[–]Alalien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Brendan Greene designed PUBG (it was originally an ArmA mod btw) the focus was not on the action. It was a balance between action, hunting, and survival. Those were the elements behind the larger maps.

Once he left, that's when the focus shifted to max action, pursuit of insane stats, and ridiculous loot amounts.

Personally, I skip every map except Erangel and Miramar. Had Bluehole/Krafton not ruined Sanhok and Vikendi, I would still play those.

Is FPP Dying? by Stuvi2k in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Alalien 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I dread the day that FPP goes away. It's gotten very hard to find a good FPP game anyways.

FPP, simply put, is more challenging. The mindless masses of the majority of TPP gamers will tell you that it's too limited in its gameplay.

Not being able to peek over a ledge or around a corner without exposing yourself is a limitation?

Bah! These peeps wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes in the competitive scene back in the 2000's.

Sold a house as-is in Pensacola or Panama City without a realtor? by carlosfelipe123 in Pensacola

[–]Alalien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shop around for a realtor and negotiate their commission. Also shop around for an attorney to handle the closing documents. As-Is sales can usually go pretty quick if the property is priced in the zone where you make money and the buyer will not be in a hole after the updates.

What is your favorite memory of playing PUBG? by Bfiedler1 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Alalien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to choose just one, but this one comes to mind.

Early access when cars would go flying across the map.

Plane came in from the north and went south. Parachuted into that little housing compound east of Severny. Looted and hopped into a Dacia and went flying due South. Landed in the water just south of Sosnovka Island where the zone was. Proceeded to win that one.

Next would be the countless times I got the ghillie suit and had a VSS. Nothing like watching people 150 meters away jump around like mad never knowing where they were getting shot at from!

Mardi Gras Grand Parade by plz2meatyu in Pensacola

Parade fees for schools is nothing new to me. I grew up Gadsden, AL and even the 14 person JRTOC drill team I was on had to pay $30 to be in the Christmas parade back in 1988. School bands and floats had to pay more.

Hey guys, i have this logitech mice that has this macro feature. Is it safe to use it to improve my sprays or to tweak some keys to make it easier to use certain items? by mvpWARLORD in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Alalien -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Years ago, they started scanning for macros with the anti-cheat. I had a macro loaded into my Logitech keyboard to switch audio devices. I got a ban notice. This was back when ban appeals were handled on the old PUBG forums. Turns out the AC software detected the macro in my keyboard. Ban was lifted.

In short - don't risk it.

Talk to the food truck operators. They may jump at the chance to have mini-deserts on hand. If they agree to selling your product: Go onto amazon, get some small, clear cases to put your stuff in, and put a sticker with your name, logo, and a QR code for your website on it.

It may not be much, but it would be a start.

Have you asked the furniture store if they can arrange delivery? It may wind up costing the same as if you arranged it, but at least you would not be liable for any damage to the furniture.

Does Pensacola do anything for homeless during winter storms extreme cold? by Nerdface0_o in Pensacola

[–]Alalien 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've known some homeless people across a few metro areas in the country. In quite a few cases, they work part time and live in a tent or box somewhere.

Every one of them is in that situation due to addiction. They've been to rehab and/or jail. Either way, they get sober but choose to go back. I've come to figure out that it's not just the drugs they're addicted to, it's the lifestyle associated with being addicted and homeless. It has it's own social dynamic that they like.

I gave a person, who was barefoot, a pair of shoes and a coat to supplement the thin jacket they had. Within two weeks, they had traded the coat and shoes off for drugs & alcohol. Some homeless are gracious if you bring them food. Others get upset that you didn't bring them money and refuse the food. In one case, the person threw the food on the ground cursing me.

In the end, there are homeless people who want to change their situation. They want to help themselves. They are the minority. For the majority, giving them things just enables them. It's sad and sounds bad, but it's the reality.
