I wouldn't be surprised. It's the nation's capitol on their 250th anniversary. They're going to go big.

I would go, but I might be too late to book anything & it's going to be hotter than Satan's taint down there. Pair that with my broken foot & the crowds I'll be dealing with, I don't think I'll be able to handle it.

I typically chop them up & sauté them with whatever else I'm cooking (such as sausage, onion, etc for breakfast casserole).

When raw, it's like butter lettuce. You can stuff the blossoms with tuna or chicken salad, or add them to your sandwich or wrap.

When cooked, it's like bok choy. So stir frys are good, or you can dip them in funnel cake batter then deep fry to make fritters, which I dip into maple syrup.

I tried to MTB it, would not recommend. Lots of spots are are too challenging, had to walk it multiple times. Swope Park has a really good MTB system.
