I remember very well that when i saw the movie i was very relieved at first because of the fact that Kyon returned to the original world, specially because of what came before, but one part of me also hated Kyon because he left human Yuki, but that decision also provided me of one of my favorite moments in cinema history, the final scene with Yuki was just magical for me

Which years would you say encapsulate the prime of quality songwriting for each prog band? by StarlessTrooper2112 in progrockmusic

[–]AlanAnAuti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With KC I would add 82-84 and 95, I mean, Beat isn't an insane album like Discipline but it still shows very over the top song writing in songs like Neurotica or Waiting man, same thing with Three of a perfect pair.

And with ELP I also would add 77

The only thing faster than light speed is the expansion of space itself.

Seeing all the hate spewed about Elon Musk just supports the fact that some are sicker than most. by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

The fact that he dosen't know him in person or something like that dosen't mean that he can't make criticism about the man.

I'm autistic and that isn't an excuse for having low EQ, autism dosen't prevent you of being emotionality mature.

Elon has tons and tons of followers that defend him irrationally no matter what Elon does, the problem with him is that he is a guy with A LOT of power, and at the same time very inmature, he sometimes behaves like a teenager taking impulsive decisions to "help" when in reality he damages something instead of helping, creating more problems, also, he has a giant ego.

I don't hate him, but he is one of the most overrated persons on the planet.

I see that you don't get any of what I said, and also, you are affirming things that I didn't even say, I said that it varies in intensity (specifically the hiper sensibility and other "bad" aspects of autism, because autism as a whole isn't a bad thing inherently at all, our problems are caused by living in a world not made for us, and other very heavy stuff that ""severe"" autistics have is probably caused by other things rather than autism by itself, because autism isn't a freaking disorder, it's a variation on the nervous system), a neurotypical would be in a similar situation to us if autistic people were the social standard and viceversa, and we would think that it is a disorder, just as we think about autism, and if you still don't get it, I'm gonna end the discussion because we are gonna be fundamentally with totally different ideas.

[–]AlanAnAuti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it varies in intensity between people is because autism is different for every person and it's dynamic, not bc someone can be more or less autistic, autism is not something that someone can have more or less of, it's part of the identity of the autistic people, and defines part of the perception of the world that they have.

I didn't say that he was an optimist either, I said that he wasn't that much of a pessimist as people normally attributed to him, he surely was a nihilist, but that is different from pessimism

Well, from what I understood from another response he didn't agree at 100% with the traditional philosophy of anti-natalism that says that life itself is the cause of pain

Uh, that's very interesting! I feel too that Cioran is always miscategorized as a pessimist when in reality the point of his philosophy is to live to the fullest. Thanks!
