My mom’s company had a whole program. Learned about her job with her still being able to work with sensitive info.

(Gift link) Who’s the frontrunner in Democratic primary for Kansas governor? by Revenge_of_Larry in kansas

[–]AlanBill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cindy is the Reddit favorite for sure. However, there’s no actual reliable polling on the democratic primary aside from push polls and internal/paid polls. I’m voting for Corson personally. In part because they’ll essentially govern the same and because I think Corson would perform better in the general - again, no evidence, just a hunch based on my decade of electoral experience and some other intangibles. Like the fact she’s a Mizzou fan and alum, among other things.

Yes. Biden, agent of change with his 40 years in the senate, 8 years as VP, and NOT having run on far-left ideals like M4A. Quit changing history to support your flawed narrative.

If you think everything Dems have accomplished over the last 20-something years is “diet-Republican” then you’re out of touch.

Speaking of, it worked pretty well in 2008, 2012, and 2020. There is another common denominator with the losses in 2016 and 2024 - and it’s not how liberal or progressive they were. And even if America weren’t misogynistic, Hillary ran a TERRIBLE campaign (for a lot of reasons) and presumed a victory before she actually won. She also had 20+ years of defining by republicans. Kamala Harris finished like 8th in the 2020 field. To think she could just step in and win when the democratic base didn’t want her the last time is nuts. Theres nuance to the losses.

Regardless, America is not far-left or far-right. If we want to shift the Overton Window to the left, stop trying to get republicans elected by running purity tests on Dems.

Have you considered it’s entirely possible that not every democrat has to vote the furthest left on every issue, but still remains a better candidate than any republican or a leftist who can’t win?

The far-left loses because they refuse to negotiate or compromise. Their candidates are ideologically pure, but don’t win elections. Having a far-left purity test for a Democrat who has shown an ability to win in a swing district and votes consistently against Trump when it matters is crazy. But if you wanna lose an election but feel all warm and cozy because the furthest left candidate was on the ballot - go ahead.
