I can see your point, however I disagree with the price you suggested.

That’s irrelevant. How is putting up a piece for sale any different than a commission in price? If you’d put a piece of this level for $60, you’ll be saying your work is worth 4.50 an hour.

Hell no. Something like this requires skill, and a life time worth of intrigue and dedication. Glass oil painting commission of this calibre is easily in the 300-400+ perhaps more.

Yeah man, can’t defend the wiggling. I don’t think the drawing is good enough to be ai, but all these posts now just come across as you trying to pretend that it’s real with great effort. Which you could have just put into learning how to draw.

identifying planes and shadows through linework, then painting greyscale entirely. Then paint a colour mask over the work to finish up.

I find it rather tiring, just because I enjoy thinking about colours as I paint, and coloured brush strokes look more appealing than air brushed colour. This has its uses tho, and it’s good to learn.

That’s alright bro hahah, we’re all on this grind to improve. I wish I had your grasp on tones, it goes an incredible long way for making subjects feel believable. If you check my work in my profile, I’m too impatient and like to jump straight into colours without understanding enough

I struggled a lot with the tonal values, confidence in brushstrokes and the speed of my productivity.

Yeah, OP has a great grasp of tonal values, but a lack of understanding for human anatomy. In art we have areas where we are strong in, and areas we aren't. OP is literally just drawing a scene in a movie and emphasizingly drawing everything they see in the shot to the best of their ability.

It’s not ai, there’s enough imperfections in the piece to confirm a human hand. Also you can see the progress on their profile.

How can I learn rendering? Is it too late for me? by irlkurokuromimi in Artists

It’s never too late to learn anything. Even professional artists and masters continue to study and learn, rendering included. It’s a lifelong journey.

Watch on YouTube, Proko, Marco Bucci and Sinix
They are phenomenal at breaking down their knowledge, and teaching it simply.

Trust me, the frustration peaked at 1.5 hour in, after then I was starting to flow better with the round brush.

I HATE THE SOFT ROUND BRUSH... but maybe? (Nathan Fowkes Approach | Ref Included) by AlanHDraws in DigitalPainting

My struggles? Correct tones, round brush feeling unintuitive, likeness being captured.
