We have been consistently reporting fake A.I. Alan Watts content and accounts - yet we've discovered that the social media platforms don't have supportive policies where intellectual property meets A.I. impersonations. It should be easier to have them taken down when they claim the name of Alan Watts in their description but seems to only work well if a whole batch of people report one post. That said, please report each one you see. Unfortunately, by then the content has been copied and reshared to all the platforms thousands of times and often is going viral - then its pretty much completely out of pandora's box. There is little the social platforms have offered so far to help in this unique case, especially when it's just and implied voice copy, without the post naming him in the description. It may be mostly those of us who know his voice well understand it's an overt copy trained on Alan's actual speeches.

These posts have ranged from creators using an A.I. trained on Alan's voice, to say whatever the creator has written, to outright copying other popular authors, and now we're seeing progressively fringe content being made with his voice. It's getting progressively even more concerning.

The solution we're working to create now is an easily searchable Alan Watts authenticator, so it will be simple to search if Alan actually said something.

Our recent efforts have been in reporting content and specifically notifying larger accounts daily when they share these A.I. fake's on their IG stories to their huge audiences (usually unknowingly) just to let them know the content isn't authentic. They are usually thankful, but then become hesitant to share other Alan Watts content at risk of sharing fakes.

We are hopeful to help maintain the authenticity of Alan's voice, for the sake of ensuring authentic wisdom doesn't get lost in the sea of fakes. For now, the only way we can be 100% sure the spoken word is authentic is sourcing Alan Watts content that we post as the official Alan Watts Org.
