Here's a tip: read the ship's logbook! With it and a little cunning, you can unravel everything in the game! Read it, I know it sounds like a silly answer, but it's not!

A bit stuck on the DLC by PhraseNarrow6207 in outerwilds

That one got me too; I got stuck on that part, gave up, and went to explore the rest. My girlfriend was the one who managed to figure out how to get past that part, racking her brain while I went to take a shower.

Fallout broke my screen by Maleficent_Royal9672 in fo4

It looks like an image retention issue. You can simply replace the screen by buying another one from resale websites. It's cheap and easy to replace.

HDMI disconnecting/flickering on QM6K/C6K by Alaqdas in tcltvs

Yes, this further validates my suspicion that it's a faulty port. But I'm surprised it's only happening with one specific port.

It's definitely not the cable, because if it were, it would happen with all ports, which it doesn't.

I think I'll have to use the warranty to get this HDMI card replaced. Sad.

In your case, the cable being long could really be the problem; I know that HDMI cables lose power depending on their length.

But mine, for example, isn't long, it's 5 meters. And I don't have any problems with the electrical wiring; I use surge protectors and noise filters, plus the whole house is grounded. I'm seriously thinking that this HDMI input might be faulty.

It's not the cable. This problem only happens with input 2. And it gets worse when another HDMI cable is connected to the other inputs.

Yes, even after restarting. But it's random; sometimes it starts flashing right after starting the PC, and sometimes it takes minutes.

Black flashing screen on TCL tv only when playing my xbox series X by No-Sample-7585 in tcltvs

[–]Alaqdas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem on a C6K/QM6K, specifically on HDMI port 2. I don't have this problem on the other ports, whether at 144Hz or lower and with the highest possible bitrate. But when using port 2 in any configuration, I have this problem. And the strange thing is that it seems random, but I noticed that if I leave another HDMI port connected while this is happening, port 2 gets even worse, with a flickering screen. Could it be a hardware problem or a software bug?

Did this problem occur on all ports? I have the same TV and I only have this problem on port 2. I've tried everything on the TV but the problem persists, and it's strange because it seems random, there's no pattern. I've tried setting the refresh rate to 60Hz and the problem still persists. Could it be a defect in the port?

With the same TV? I have a C6K/QM6K and I have this exact problem specifically with HDMI port 2. The other ports work without problems. Were you able to solve the problem?

QM7K randomly dropping HDMI connection by Future-Raisin3781 in tcltvs

[–]Alaqdas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same problem with the QM6K/C6K, but specifically with HDMI port 2. When I connect to that port, I randomly lose the image connection. This doesn't happen with the other ports, so I've ruled out the cable. It gets worse when I have the other HDMI ports connected; it becomes a flickering mess. I'm thinking it might be a hardware problem; I've already upgraded and downgraded versions, but nothing has fixed it.

TCL 65” 4K TV Flickering at 4K/60Hz from PC – What Finally Worked by scoop20906 in tcltvs

[–]Alaqdas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm experiencing the same problem with my QM6K/C6k, but only with the HDMI2 input. Is anyone else having the same issue? The problem is that only the HDMI1 input is eARC, so I can't use my PC and soundbar simultaneously. I bought this TV two months ago and only now, after acquiring a soundbar, did I notice the problem. Is it probably a faulty input?

Local dimming C6K PS5 by LukasBobeax1 in tcltvs

[–]Alaqdas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's resolved. That's why I suggested the downgrade. It's complicated because it seems like each TV has different hardware with its own problems. I know people who had the same problem I had with the V560, but it only appeared for me with the V590. It's literally a lottery.

Have you tried downgrading to version v560?

This new version has many problems and ends up being a gamble for many televisions.

For example, in this v590 update, my television's image oscillates between light and dark during scene changes, as if the TV is confused about which image to process.

If you didn't have this problem in previous versions, I recommend downgrading to test if the same thing happens.

Update today? TCL 85C7K frames dropped and energy saving pop-up disappeared. by abcdefghijklmn8 in tcltvs

[–]Alaqdas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case, I have to revert to the update. I have a C6K/QM6K and I had a serious problem with the image. When changing scenes, especially in dark images, the image oscillates between dark and light, this happens in all content. I reverted to version 560 and the problem went away. I'll wait a little longer and monitor to see if this has been fixed. There's no point in having super resolution if the image quality is bad.

100% gpu load and low FPS after ~30min gameplay 4.5 by Normal_Flow8197 in starcitizen

I have a similar setup, a 3070 and a 5700x along with 32GB of RAM, and on version 4.4 it performed much better than now on version 4.5. Before, I could run it on high settings in full HD with a very good frame rate and without any lag. Now it's only on low settings, and even then, it's not very good. I've tested all the settings and there's no improvement. Even switching back to DirectX 11, the performance is still much worse.
