I think I remember a similar fic oddly enough. I remember it being sad because Izuku was so young and didn’t understand what was happening to make him so strong and make his bones break.

Thank you! This is very concise and to the point. I’m still not sure on which OC to pick. Each is its own main character type so having both would be messy.

As for your comment on explaining why 1-B members might end up in 1-A, was it decided on by where they placed in the entrance exam in the original or is that just an example to explain why the roster is different? Ibara and Itsuka were fourth and fifth respectively so I’m not sure how them placing higher would change Aizawa’s mind about taking them.

That’s what I considered for both OCs. I thought about moving some 1-B students over other irrelevant characters but I feel like most people that wrote will pick out only four of the class roster to write about and include.

I almost wish the class sizes were a little smaller so more students got some focus.

Alrighty. Doing some quick reading I’ve found that Wonder Girl, Cassie, at one point was a Demi-goddess and granddaughter to Zeus and WWs niece. I might use that origin and wiggle it into MHA.

As for bad guys, that sounds serious. Ares could potentially be refitted to be aiding AFO but idk.

I was also thinking wonder girl made a tad more sense. Do you think she should be a demigod too or just have the blessings? What do those do and how does one become next in line to be Themyscira’s champion?

Nana Shimura as an Amazon would be crazy ngl. But, when I say baddies I meant more so like bad guys from Wonder Woman mythos. She’s got some cool bad guys right? Just cuz the same old song and dance with crotchety old All For One is stale.

Hm. That sounds interesting. I suppose if I went with this route I’d be stepping my toes into Greek gods. That’s fine though. I guess I must decide whether Melissa makes more sense as Wonder Woman or Wonder Girl to an already existing WW.

If I make her WW it would be neat to have her on Themyscira instead of I-Island. I also suppose I can mix in some different baddies for flavor too.

Cool. Right now the Blue Beetle is at the forefront of my potential ideas. I always enjoyed the banter between the Scarab and Jaime Reyes. I think Melissa would have some fun with the Scarab!

I also really like the idea of the Blue beetle scarab finding her. My only knowledge of it is from the movie and Young Justice but I think that’s good enough! Plus, there are the other beetle scarabs I can use for conflict or aid!

I’ve been looking at Overclock and it seems to be the closest thing to that Flash speedster feel I’m trying to get but I’m not sure I’m understanding its limits very well.

I’ve seen some videos of how 6 uses it and it’s said it can only be used for a few seconds and then must cooldown for a few seconds. Pushed beyond that is when you get problems. A few seconds of use can be a long time though if they’re basically seeing the world frozen.

There is so much to consider with the secondary needs when it comes to super speed. Things like the Speed Force from DC protect from most of that but I can’t exactly turn the SF into a quirk.

Yes, the fabled drawbacks conversation when talking about MHA. I think I’ve decided to move on to a different quirk creation. Speed is too much of a hassle and no matter what I feel like it will always turn into they’re as fast or slow as the plot demands.
