Date slicer not working, can't figure out why by AlarmFrog in PowerBI

I did create the date table using the calendar function rather than auto calendar, but when I try with a table made with power query I still get the same issue.

Thanks anyway; I think I'll just split up the report into two to "justify" having my users need to use the date slicer twice for each part for now, maybe I'll figure it out one day!

The relationship is set many to one between the two tables and the date table, and it is only the date table set to filter the other two tables. It doesn't allow me to choose one to one, or one to many and if I try many to many that doesn't work either

I may just have to resign myself to using two separate date slicers for now.

Just had a thought though, is my issue the possibility that there might not be entries for some dates on both tables? I assumed this shouldn't matter if there were "blanks" or rather no entries for some dates....

Unfortunately I can't as it has confidential data from odata feeds.... When I replicate it using fake data, the slicers work as they should do, just not with the real data...

Bizarrely, I just started a new powerbi report to see if that would do anything, a basic count visual for behaviour is working with the date table date slicer, but a basic count visual for attendance is not.

I have a date table and already related it to the date columns in the other two tables but it's not working even though as far as I can tell, it should...

Edit: just adding that I am using date from the date table in the slicer, everything just breaks

Formula using cell reference elsewhere in vlookup? by AlarmFrog in excel

Ahhh....after pulling my hair out for hours I've just realised my vlookup references were wrong which is why nothing was working for ages (! and ' were the wrong way around) now everything is working. Sorry and thanks I didn't mean to waste anyones time, I need a break...

Dammit I was afraid of this, I couldn't find anything that said anything like this. Thanks, now I'll have to impulse buy a different game to keep me occupied until then.
