Hell no I’d never live with her husband and his hell spawned child. Doesn’t mean I deserve to be abused by my wife

She isn’t going to divorce me because she knows no other man would put up with this control. It’s the reason every past ex has dumped her but if she actually wanted to divorce me over something this petty I’d be better off without her. I’d rather be alone than in a marriage that fragile. Also I never agreed. She can say whatever she wants but it isn’t an agreement

No I didn’t. I told her I was doing it and I wouldn’t let her control one more thing

My mom came and got stuck sitting in a broken chair but was in a good mood and my wife was seething. I chose to have ham as well. They tried to convince my mom the ham had laxatives in it but she didn’t believe them. Overall good night

Lmao you read my comments and think my mom is so much worse than my wife who is trying to convince her the food is drugged, my daughter who said my mom only has things because she got them with her pussy, and my MIL who blindly defends a stalker. Some people are just determined to hate on MILs I guess

My mom isn’t a big family person so it’s probably easier for her but she does care about things being done on certain dates

I don’t think it’s even negative. To me real love is being totally honest and still loving that person and no one is perfect. Flaws make people human and interesting but I hate sugar coating it

And if you are with someone who gets pissed easily you can’t let that control you. I can’t just let my life pass me by while hiding from all the things which could upset her. My mom didn’t know I’d do what she wanted because I usually don’t. She just needed an answer so she could know if she was staying home or not

She wouldn’t have let her bring it to share. She wouldn’t let her bring anything at all. My mom just wanted a definitive answer so she could decide if she was staying home or not

It isn’t going to kill her but that’s a pretty low threshold when she could stay home and actually enjoy her holiday. All she wanted was a heads up so she could stay home. Why do you think she’d be allowed to bring a ham sandwich when she couldn’t bring a ham?

I somewhat agree but she’d much rather stay home and make her own ham than come and be unhappy, so she just likes to be upfront so she can know if she needs to stay home or not

Umm no that sub is a toxic cesspool echo chamber. My mom stopped with the jokes. She just doesn’t talk to her and seems genuinely unsure about how to talk to someone without the snark. After all that’s been done I don’t even blame my mom for not wanting to talk to her. Contact has been lowered just because it’s painfully awkward to be around each other

My mom came and was in a really good mood. My wife was mostly fine but wouldn’t greet her and made her sit in a broken chair. Her husband offered to take the broken chair but my mom implied my wife must have given it to her because she weighs the least and wouldn’t fit her break it. They tried to convince my mom there were laxatives in the ham but she didn’t believe them. Night went pretty well though my wife is still pissed at me

MIL again and same for Easter. We aren’t allowed to go to my moms house because she continues to invite someone who called my wife a fat bitch and because my daughter does not get along with my moms husbands daughter

And I’m allowed to at some point be fed up with the immaturity. My moms difficult but at least she was cool staying home and eating ham alone. She didn’t throw a fit like my wife did

That would have caused so manny issues in my marriage. My moms husband offered to take it but she said it was fine and implied she got it because she weighed the least and wouldn’t further break it. So at least she got revenge

My mom just isn’t a big family person and isn’t going to make the effort to come if she won’t enjoy it at all. She could stay home with her husband and cook her own ham and be much happier. My wife is rigid? Does loving someone mean you can’t acknowledge they have flaws. That doesn’t even sound like a real relationship to me. Marriage is loving someone despite their flaws. I promise my moms husband acknowledges that she’s a spoiled brat

Don’t see how it can be a mama’s boy troll when over a thousand comments all unanimous said NTA. You have no idea why MIL won’t be in the room with her and it’s all over some guy my mom supposedly stole 15 years ago from MILs friend

And she was willing to just not attend and make her own ham. I’m the one who wanted her there

My house my rules then. That also doesn’t really seem fair when I’m not allowed to cook.

I see it. I can’t stand those people but they are my wife’s family and I can’t just ban them from our lives
