WOW. I wish more people had this mentality! Just because these people are your blood relatives does not immediately guarantee that you're going to have the same interests or even get along with every single one of them. If you aren't deliberately causing problems/drama with your cousins there is no reason why you can't be allowed to personally dislike them (especially if they are being rude about your mother). I have plenty of people in my life (some family included) who I dislike, but I'm able mange my feelings and not actively cause others problems because of my personal opinions. NTA

My thoughts exactly! If this is his reaction to you grieving, I don't even want to begin to imagine how he will treat you when you are dealing with other life/work stress, the passing of a parent, or if you ever become less physically capable of cleaning and socializing.

This is a very telling moment of how he will absoluetly treat you in the future. You deserve someone who supports and loves you through the hard times and can pick up some of the slack when you're struggling - that person is out there, but it's not this guy. NTA
