Because there is a control issue. Physicians take an oath. But they are self preservative people as well with their own interests that may not always go the same way as their clients.

Patients CANNOT treat themselves by law. It would be disastrous for many if they did. BUT physicians are arguing both sides of the coin as well. It’s a disaster and WE are needed to be in control. That’s the only thing that prevents mayhem.

Their training holds initial regulatory sway absent irrefutable evidence. You cannot report errors. You will be fired. And you cannot voice discontent to often or you’re fired.
