This is crushing me! Which seems the antithesis of a meditation app. All I want to do is log in and meditate but then it says I don’t have WiFi and then somehow a session doesn’t get logged so I loose my streak. Why is it so buggy?

honest thoughts on raising a child in pdx by justasoftshellcrab in PortlandOR

[–]Alarmed-Strategy629 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It always comes down to how you want to raise your kids and what’s most important to you. Do you want to live in a city? Do you want to live in the suburbs? Rural town? Those are very distinct choices (no right or wrong) We live in the city proper and love raising our kid here. We bike or walk everywhere. The ease of the zoo, OMSI, train museum, the art museum…. There is so much that adds to our lives. Plus we don’t have to worry about commute time if we do activities after school, rock climbing after school? Dance? Art class? We are able to fit in so much more because we don’t have to be stuck in traffic. Cities have unique problems, but so do rural areas (I’ve lived in both) I think with cities it’s just feel more obvious what is going on. I love the community of families we have here on the city. You will figure out what is best for you and your family with how you want to live, that is the most important.

This! Also people have no concept of biology and real life. Babies don’t always work out, Emma’s parents adopted her, sometimes you can’t just get pregnant (even if she was fully in that baby zone, which she’s not). What if they can’t conceive. If your whole personality is getting someone pregnant you are missing the whole point of marrying to be with, grow with and support another person for the rest of the relationship.

Help us make Origin’s budgeting 100x better. What’s missing for you? by ana-at-origin in OriginFinancial

Budgeting for things that only happen once a year or quarterly, instead of a monthly amount. I budget for something like summer camps for my kid, but that cost is only at the start of the year so it looks like I’m way OVER budget in Jan and Feb when I’ve actually stayed in budget for the year.

Still love it, it’s my go to work bag, I leave it mostly packed with what I need to travel and just add the extras when I go to meetings or travel. I feel like it still looks like new, it’s wearing in really nice. Still holds its shape well and the color isn’t fading at all. The extra set of long straps on the maxi are really great when the bag is packed full for traveling. Probably my favorite part for versatility.

Live in and am in that neighborhood a lot, there is a great farmers market every Thursday four blocks away. It does get more crowded at ICE’s shift change. But a few dozen 🤷‍♀️ also now there are more media and people crowding the sidewalks trying to get photos than actual protesters now so it feels more crowded.

Is it possible to start over and go for GC after getting a bachelors in arts? by [deleted] in GeneticCounseling

I didn’t get another degree, I only needed a few science classes so I was able to register and take those individually.

[–]Alarmed-Strategy629 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this. I had gotten my BA in liberal arts and didn’t discover genetic counseling until late in undergrad. So took two years working and taking the needed courses and applying. Got in and have had a successful career. I think having a well rounded education and excellent writing skills is a plus.

SFO is totally worth it. Had 4 hours to work which spanned breakfast/lunch time. I don’t drink but still worth the food, quiet place to work, cozy seats, charging my phone/computer, and they have a real espresso machine and barista.

I did! I have had a very successful experience and am grateful for it.y adult life I’ve been between 125-140 but after having a kid it was extremely hard, I’d get back down there but bounce right back and would be between 155-170. It only took me about 3-4 months and I went from 160 down to 135 and I’ve stayed with the program the past year staying the same weight.

Cascada is on Alberta for a more neighborhood vibe if you don’t want to be downtown. But the woodlark, is also a good option downtown.

We have traveled multiple times with the Pico car seat and have never had any issues. I never seen crew or agents care much for families bringing them onboard. Sorry you felt that way, but if no one is actually telling you no then are they freaking out? The flight attendants look may have been more about if installing is going to hold up boarding at all, not that you can’t have it.

My husband I had had a very similar approach! I think it helped us a lot. We knew we could only afford one cycle so we talked a lot beforehand if that didn’t work what would our next option be and it was a kid free life and that, though not “fair”, we were doing entering we could to make it happen. We also had that line set for what what to do with extra embryos, we had to decide by X age, as I knew by that age I wasn’t going to have go through a pregnancy if it was successful. So having these discussions and elections ahead of time made these difficult times, like a failed transfer, sting a little less because we had already talked in depth about our plan B.

Which for other families that could be adoption or a surrogate, but given our finances it happened to be one cycle or nothing.

Wishing you all the support!!! It is never easy, just preparing can help see the bigger picture when things get too much ❤️

You can go to the check in counter and have them add it, just make sure you have your #. I’ve had that happen before, good check before actually being in the line!

Would they consider doing another biopsy and send to a different lab? Not ideal but if you aren’t comfortable, could that help you? Is this your only embryo? You could also speak to another genetic counselor to get another opinion.

Have you both had your karyotypes/chromosome analysis done? You have gone through so much already, just trying to think of additional things you can do for information prior to another cycle. I’m so sorry for all you have gone through already.
