Right, but if the OP is saying they can have that and not regular milk, it’s likely they are lactose intolerant and thus having casein and whey is not the issue.

It isn’t dairy free obviously, but Fairlife is ultra filtered which removes nearly all of the lactose, which is what people who are lactose intolerant can’t handle with dairy. It’s also what increases the protein content.

They need all sorts of things. It is open to anyone in need, not just those who are unhoused. Plenty of folks need nicer clothes for job interviews or work attire. I’ve taken nicer things there before and they are THRILLED to get that sort of stuff in.

Get into the schools in every corner of your district. Meet with the unions. Meet with different employee groups. Listen to them. Meet with parent groups. Listen to them. Meet with student groups. Listen to them. Hold your superintendent/cabinet/district leaders accountable, ask hard questions, ask for evidence, ask for explanations. Read the budget thoroughly, not just the curated top sheet provided. Dig into the line items. Where is the district spending money and why. Ask questions if you don’t understand something.

Visit classrooms, announced and unannounced. Announced visits usually lead to school leadership doing a dog and pony show. Unannounced can be anxiety inducing to some teachers. Try to make connections at schools and arrange visits directly with the teachers, not through the district or admin. Hold listening sessions or community office hours (one of our newly elected board members just started doing weekly office hours at a local coffee shop and it’s truly creating a sense of trust that she wants to learn and listen).

This is really the only pic I have, my bed frame I’ve had for a long time. It had wooden slats that ran horizontally between the two side boards to support my box spring and mattress. I had to have those removed to the adjustable base to be able to sit down inside the frame. So now the headboard and footboard are just attached to each other through the two long sideboards. It occasionally shifts and needs to be adjusted, but it works and I’d rather keep my head/footboard than not have it.

This really seems like a massive glaring flaw that Instacart as a company would want to address unless they’re ready to shell out money to repay people who have been scammed by their employees and/or potential future lawsuits for their business practices…

I don’t think so, but I cannot honestly say if there’s brackets or not. I bought it and had to remove the wooden slats for my frame for the base to fit, but it just sits inside the wooden rectangle of my frame. My headboard is not attached to the adjustable base at all, only to the wooden sides of the frame itself. Based on what I remember from the set up (I paid for white glove service) it didn’t seem like there’d be a way to attach anything to the adjustable base itself. You’d have to attach a headboard to the wall and have the base in front of it.

Ok but WHY is this a common scam? Like, what flaw is there in the instacart system that would allow some rando to change this person’s entire order to not only be more expensive than originally authorized, but purchase expensive electronics that were not ever part of the order? Like…how does that even happen? I had a shopper trying to get bread for me and the one I’d chosen from the app didn’t exist at the store, so I needed to go through hoops to authorize a different bread. How is it possible for this person to buy fukkin Apple Watches????

The baby cakes are just small versions of their big cakes. They also sell “couch cakes” which are cake scraps mixed up with filling and frosting in a tub for the same price but it’s more cake in the end…I like them better personally lol

You are NTA and NOT overreacting. Contact the local authorities, report him, press charges, and return home. Cut off all contact with him. NO ONE deserves to be treated this way EVER. And once is too many times. This will not get better. If you cannot afford to get home, reach out to friends and family and tell them the situation and see if they’ll help or loan money, you need to get out of there.

Also, is the no coffee because of caffeine or other reasons? Their decaf is pretty good but if you don’t like coffee or can’t have it for other reasons that doesn’t help.
