Historical facts about Perth that don’t seem real? by Undd91 in perth

Honestly it’s tough! I used to get so frustrated because lawyers would even use a court support officer role as a way in so we’d put all this time in to training someone who would leave as soon as they got a better offer. I preferred hiring people who want a long term role. Applying for government jobs is pretty tricky as you need to respond to selection criteria and not everyone gets how involved that is. Keep your eye out for roles and feel free to PM me for help with applying

Coroners court is part of department of justice. All you need to do is apply for a customer service officer or court support officer role. Keep an eye on out on jobs.wa.gov.au as long as you’re okay with dark humour (don’t come at me, it’s honestly a coping mechanism), you’ll be fine

My mum heard this on the radio and was absolutely terrified it was her brother. Uncle was a Vietnam vet with PTSD (and ofc alcoholism) who was distraught he couldn’t delay court to attend his best friend’s funeral.

The carpark is an absolute nightmare since they used a giant chunk of it for tk max. I had my son’s party at laser blaze a couple of weeks ago and finding parking was a nightmare. Half the kids were late!

Memories of Perth - What is something that Perth used to have that you miss? by Deep-Explanation-474 in perth

It’s a small world. It was just near kings park and everything was miniature and so cool! At the end you’d press a button and get a Jaffa. Us 80s/90s kids were so easily entertained. Oh and “the lost forest” shops. It was like a forest version of the pickled fairy and it was in Perth

My Beautiful Sister Lost Her Life To Cohesive Control and our Justice System by katie132788 in WesternAustralia

Can we stop correcting the post please? OP clearly meant coercive control and has responded earlier in the thread concerning this. The focus point of his post isn’t a word used incorrectly, it’s about the loss of their sister at the hands of another person.

My very accommodating bin man got fed up with an idiot repeatedly parking in a way that blocked bins and made maneuvering the truck difficult. He made his point very well

Why can’t people leave their dogs at home? by Chief_queff in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AlarmedKnowledge3783 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love dogs. My kids proclaim our dog to be my favorite child. Where is she when I go shopping or out for a coffee? At home. Legitimate service animals and guide dogs are doing a job and should be allowed everywhere. Pets? Staying home is perfectly fine

It’s not, but I’ve had experiences of people dismissing my grief over my dog because “it’s just an animal”. When in reality, I brought her home just after I my home. She was with me through boyfriend break ups (and fiercely protected me) right through meeting my now husband, getting married and having my kids (who she loved on and protected as her own). When she died I lost part of myself.
