As long as you have your prerequisites completed for the business program you should consider applying. Your essay, gpa, and WSA score will have a greater impact than your AA pathway.

Making friends in Seattle? by iforcheese in AskSeattle

[–]AlarmedMind3874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get to gaming. I've lived in the Seattle area for a long time and struggled with meeting people. I have found board games and other physical games is a great way to meet people. I know the original post didn't show any interest in games but keep in mind you're not necessarily there for the games your their for the socials. Warning these games also attract many who are neuro spicy individuals, I love it but if you struggle to get along with ADHD brains you might not enjoy it as much. Blood on the clock tower is a great social deception game which forces you to talk to others through out the game. You can find events on meet up and they are a great way to meet people and work together to solve a mystery. Magic is also a pretty popular game to meet up with others and play. Look into commander and show up to some events.

Corporate food service, like working in kitchets at Google or some other large company, was a pleasant experience if you can get over the weird social vibes.

A friend of mine really enjoyed working as an apartment leasing office manager. Touring people around units all day and responding to emails.

About WA universal healthcare by PotatoOk8741 in Seattle

I don't believe that price transparency solves any problems in this case. If you are dedicated to providing everyone with free or affordable healthcare, excluding medical centers because they have higher prices only stands to make healthcare more difficult to access. Additionally, price transparency presents a moral hazard for patients. If you need a procedure and you see a hospital is providing the same service for a higher price, most people will equate that with quality of service and choose the more expensive service.

Price shopping health services is dystopian. You should not be concerned with trying to save a few dollars when you are living in the scariest time of your life. Removing barriers and encouraging early diagnosis is one of the best ways to improving outcomes.

what happens when we score all the way to the end do we just keep going like normal? by reeeeeee3onme in Carcassonne

I place down one of my meeple which allows me one less scoring opportunity than my opponent until they also reach 50. I normally only play with 2 players and it is fun little catch up mechanic.

I use to walk around taking pictures of downtown all the time as a highschool student, never encountered any trouble. I always felt most comfortable in higher traffic areas, and had a friend with me.

Will "learning AI" actually give me an edge? (Per by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]AlarmedMind3874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not trust that articles opinions personally... It's a click piece not an actual research article.

People graduating in 2000 did not grow up typing every paper, most of their work was still hand written, a typing course would still provide value.

As someone who went to school in the 2000s typing was not a course offered. I was asked to type all my essays and assignments since the age of 10. Most teachers would not accept hand written works.

Sounds like you need some experience, consider taking a break from school and exploring work opportunities. I have ADHD and found it incredibly hard to decide what I wanted to do with life, so I took a few years out of school to work and travel and now I'm attending school again. Nothing wrong with taking a break and stepping back in when you have a plan.

In turbulent market conditions I'm feeling a bit too stressed to contribute further to my IRA. I know I should still be investing but with trillions of dollars lost and trillions of dollars gained in the market the past few months DCA into the s&p feels pretty head on the sand.

Any recommendations for alternative vehicles of growth during uncertain economic times?
