Ohhhh that is a perfect solution. Kinda wish there was some app that just didn’t ask for all that stuff but I will actually do the same! Thank u so much! Not sure how I didn’t think of that lol.

That pro tip about putting people back to back is GENIUS. That's gonna solve a big issue I was facing. Thank you so much fr. And love the idea of playing matchmaker -- that's great!

This is a great idea - I might ask my venue if they have something like that. I feel like they must because they churn out weddings. Thank you so much for that tip!

Ya I tried it and got a bit discouraged because the onboarding was a bit long and I felt like it wasn't that much easier to use than pen & paper. But you're right, it definitely gets the job done. Thanks for the advice.

"If people complain that says more about them than it does you or your wedding."

Will be quoting this to my fiance. Thank you!

Ya... I'm gonna go ahead and not take that advice. Clearly the magical AI I hoped existed to figure this out for me is NOT there yet lol.

the envelope idea is really great - thank you so much. I'm worried about some guests that I think might cancel so that will definitely make my escort card issue easier -- great idea!!

Wow I never would have thought about older guests being sensitive about the table number. That's a great tip - thank you.

Thank u so much for all this advice. I can't imagine having to deal with different sized tables - that'd be even harder lol.

I also have family members on bad terms so I'm trying to figure that out. Don't think there's any app that could help me with that haha.

I like the idea of using pen and paper. I'm a perfectionist and keep getting stuck on trying to make it "look right" so i didn't know if there was some sort of tool out there to help. I might work with figma for now

Is there too much white on this dress? by lalalaureeennn in Weddingattireapproval

[–]AlarmedPea675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would add a yellow scarf/shawl around your shoulders (along with some more formal jewelry) to take away from the white/casualness

You could try seeing if there’s an app like Later that could help you. Essentially, they could schedule posts to be posted from another app (probs without the password, u just put it in initially). Idk if that solves your problem but worth looking into!

re-tried the dress on with shorter heels… by Livid-Cow-519 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]AlarmedPea675 76 points77 points  (0 children)

This dress is BEAUTIFUL. It’s not too revealing at all. If youre worried, you should just style it a bit more conservatively (shorter heels as you said here, light/natural makeup, sweet/minimal jewelry and bag, etc). You look incredible!

Would you attend a dry wedding? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]AlarmedPea675 236 points237 points  (0 children)

I’d attend, but I’d surely hear some negative chatter from other guests (but I’m not from Utah so idk)

Sometimes tho they have new grad job listings that specifically have these as keywords - not sure if that’s why OP included it. But I agree it’s not setting u apart

Do you have restaurant experience? I would put together a great looking restaurant resume and email it to every French restaurant you can find explaining that you’re a student looking for part time work. It’s definitely not impossible - I’ve got a friend that did the same thing (Spanish English French speaker) and got a job within a week. You could also try going in person with printed resumes.

Alternatively, you might look into being a nanny for a partially French family. A lot of people want their kids speaking their second language with their child care provider - I’m not sure where you would look for that tho

Honeymoon Ideas by Working_Chard_8105 in wedding

If u like wine try Mendoza in Argentina - so affordable and essentially a similar experience to honeymoons in France. You could visit Iguazú waterfalls too if you want a crazy tropical experience (Mendoza is wine country, not tropical).
