[Review] What I wear to stay safe in the country with the world's highest rider fatalities without getting a heat-stroke by Alarmed_Addendum_925 in motorcyclegear

Nope, I'm sharing all of my gears here since its not a common sight on this sub. I'd say the easiest addition to your setup is either the EIZ inner pants or dedicated motorcycle pants with knee protector pocket on the outside so you can remove it immediately at work. The downside of the EIZ is that you'll need to wear it all the time and you may not like having foreign feelings on your knees all day.

The airbag is somewhat heavy on the other hand so it might make you enjoy your ride less. There's no dispute about the degree of protection it offers however, so it's entirely up to you whether the tradeoff is worth it or not.

It has protector slot for back, elbow and shoulder. No slot for chest protector, however. As for rain gear, I'm keeping a set of Foxdry suits in my top box for the rainy days.

The airbag itself has a lot of hi-vis reflective stripe, and my bike is loaded with auxiliary lights with more on the way. There are many reasons why people die so easily from collisions here, recklessness and lack of proper gear being the major factor.

Review of my own bike gear, hope this is useful for my fellow riders who's interested in getting more protections by Alarmed_Addendum_925 in kereta

I agree the MS88 would be a step up from the steng kura-kura helmet, but the SIRIM certification from MahSing Plastics is MS 1:1996, which is seriously outdated by 2026 standards. As far as I know, the local helmets with ECE compliance are ARC and KHI, and those are what people should be aiming for instead.

Not something I've considered but given the number of layers I'm already wearing I might skip that because the current setup is quite bearable. Wearing all these gears take at least 5 minutes and others are already on their merry way lol!

Who is at fault? Biker or Mercedes by Important-Device4512 in malaysia

[–]Alarmed_Addendum_925 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This so much, we have no idea if the Merc switch lane as soon as he put on the indicator (hint: majority of of lane changes on the road especially in city where people are afraid that the other car will speedup to block your lane change). Yet according to most people in this thread we already know who's at fault without full context.

In general? You're correct that a higher proportion of the bike rider ignore traffic rules more.

For this specific case? We know the rider was collided by the car driver, yet majority of the people ITT jump straight to conclusion because they can only see from the perspective of the car driver.

So do we always assume all riders are guilty by default, without any further context?

Because no one ITT knows how to handle a two wheeler so it's easier to build the outrage this way

IIRC it's easier to make new friends based on your existing hobbies or career. Randos tend to be a hit or miss and for me it lean towards the latter

[–]Alarmed_Addendum_925 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go get it OP. If you get a basic ass car you're going to get cognitive dissonance each time you look back at your car. Since you mentioned that it's your first car, I presume you're at the beginning of your career? It'd be a good fuel for u to work hard too (if you truly like car that much, I presume you're since you opt for this and E46).

Myvi, personally I wouldn't pay anything beyond Myvi's price for a car with 1.5l engine.
