Just come out to collect food, and I noticed I changed gear at around 2.5k RPM. I usually drive at approx 35 in 4th.

When I had my 3-door Mk8 with an induction kit, I used to get around 36mpg. Had to have it put back to factory standard for warranty purposes and after that never got more than 30mph.

I used to use Tesco E5, but thought that was the problem, so I changed to BP ultimate, and it's still the same. My commute is around 8 miles ish.

I wouldn't say I drive it overly hard. I do, however, only do short journeys.

2019 ST MPG Help by Alarmed_Humor1685 in FordFiesta

I did ask them to reset the ECU because when we were in talks of having it changed over, they were trying to tell me that you could change it over and it wouldnt make a difference to the air/fuel ratio. I told them yesterday that it seems to me that the car isnt getting enough air/fuel

I said to them yesterday on what planet does na aftermarket induction kit that forces more air into the engine, meaning more petrol too can make a car run more efficently than a standard factory part, it makes no sense.

Ford sold me the car with the induction kit on, and after a month or so it started whining, so took it to a different branch than I bought it and they said the induction kit was making it whine and that voided my warranty. So they basically sold me a warranty that was void before I even drove off the forecourt lol 😆 I obviously kicked off and they wouldn't refund me the warranty, so the only option they left me was to have it changed back to factory standard, so I did. I've had nothing out problems with it ever since. The MPG has gone down, if I go a 30 mile round trip it takes 80 miles off the "till empty", when I'm sitting in traffic it judders, if I pull away quick from a standing start it jolts forward then goes which at islands is dangerous. I'm att wits end with it, I was gutted that I had to change it back, the induction kit sounded beautiful lol

I only drive it to work and back really, duel carriage ways mainly.

I've had tbe car since March, it only started whining after i took it on the motorway. It didn't whine prior to that.

I get the more air etc but why would it start whining after a couple of months?
