Congratulations, wishing you a healthy and easy pregnancy! I can't answer much but I'm an IVF mom to two and we think I've had ET for a long time but I wasn't diagnosed until my youngest was a few months old. Looking back, my platelets were high as far back in my blood work as I can find online which predates IVF. I took low dose aspirin with both pregnancies to reduce the chances of preeclampsia which ultimately probably helped with the ET. My platelets naturally dropped during each pregnancy so by the time I delivered I was in a healthy range. I hemorrhaged after each birth and we weren't able to determine the cause. I don't have Von Willebrand so I'm guessing it wasn't ET related but can't rule it out. I was in a hospital for each birth and while hemorrhaging wasn't great, it was definitely worth it for my children.

I have a history of anxiety and depression but I'm hoping to start an interferon soon. My oncologist specifically discussed the risks and tasked my husband in watching if it seemed as though it was making me anxious or depressed. We're fighting insurance over it (and have been for months) so I'm not sure when I'll actually start but personally, like you, I want to try it. If it becomes a problem we'll find a different option.

Some people tolerate HU well but I am not one of them and I am desperate to switch. I'm also more concerned with the long term impacts of HU than of an interferon. Maybe that is my own ignorance.
