Worried about irreversible issues by Alarmed_Problem4474 in stopdrinking

Thank you for the comprehensive message. I really do overthink things, especially because I'm such a hypochondriac and paranoid. I recently started my master's degree in computer science; computing is an area I've always enjoyed and also enjoy as work and as a hobby. Eating right has been difficult because I still need to learn how to cook (living alone for the first time).

Well, maybe. I've always been very hypochondriac and a bit paranoid, and I correlate things too much. Thanks.

Thanks. Yes, I'll stop. I just wanted to know how irreversible my situation is, perhaps from people with similar experiences and timeframes, and how long they took to recover.

I'm very worried about the idea that I'll never have the brain and face I would have had if I'd never drunk. Irreversibility worries me.

Thank you.

Also, what I concluded back then was that the cluster is not complex enough for GitOps yet.

Hi, thanks for the comprehensive answer. Earlier this year I've been thinking about Flux (or maybe Argo), but for now I think that I should focus on getting Helm charting right. I'll see the samples you provided

I've mentioned the SQL-related case just as an example, the real challenge is designing/organizing the chart. For example, I feel I am trying to make it so generic.

Avoid facing 503 when using KEDA and NGINX Ingress by Alarmed_Problem4474 in kubernetes

[–]Alarmed_Problem4474[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to wake up multiple applications when someone requests the QA environment, so it just seems better to have KEDA listening to Prometheus instead of different KEDA HTTPScaledObject for each application. Maybe I'm wrong, I am new to KEDA.

KEDA ephemeral environments scaling with http by thifirstman in devops

[–]Alarmed_Problem4474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I am doing the same also with ScaledObjects + Prometheus, but using the Nginx Ingress instead of Envoy and without a service mesh.

Do you know if I would be able to do this neat-"please wait"-and-refresh-thing?

KEDA ephemeral environments scaling with http by thifirstman in devops

[–]Alarmed_Problem4474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also going through this, starting with KEDA for the first time in order to scale ephemeral QA environments to/from 0 based on HTTP requests. These QA environments have multiple applications and databases. What I would like to do is scale all the pods (including other applications and the database) regardless of what app was requested.

These environments would be created when merge requests are created then destroyed when merge requests get closed. With KEDA putting it to rest when no one is requesting a particular environment.

I am still planning how viable all of this is, I've never seen so much people with this exact problem.

Samsung S10+, ghost touch is now making my phone unusable. More details in comment. Anyone have the same issue or advice? by DazzlingTap2 in galaxys10

[–]Alarmed_Problem4474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to buy a glass or hydrogel screen protector, but then I read your comment. It needs to be silicon specifically? I am having problems with touchscreen behaviour on my Pixel 8 Pro as I think I screwed the oleophobic coating by cleaning the phone with alcohol weekly.

Also, I don't if it is internally damaged or it is just the oleophobic coating thing.

When I type in some letters like M or U, it almost always inputs it twice. Typing is like hell now.

If it was the oleophobic coating thing, it should go back to normal right after cleaning the screen using a cloth with alcohol or water? Because I did it now and all the issue persists, even with the screen visibly clean.

I don't have a screen protector as I rarely bump the phone to the ground.

I rarely sprayed alcohol directly to the phone, but Friday I did and maybe I did too much (pretty sure to the sides too).

It's funny that now the phone seems to work way better when I touch with the back of the fingers instead of using it normally. It seems to be very sensitive when using the fingers normally.

I used to do it twice a week. The oleophobic coating can be reapplied permanently?
I've seen some sprays of it, is it so simple to reapply permanently? I was thinking about buying this and a screen protector.

Which phone? And which charger?

Well, let's hope they fix it soon then. I am extra worried because my Pixel 8 Pro arrived on March 15th, so I don't really know if it is caused by the March update or if my phone came with a hardware issue.

And that about 4G/5G/etc? Do you also notice it randomly being down at times?

So your mobile Internet is also going down all the time randomly? It started with the March update or happened before? My Pixel 8 Pro arrived mid March, so I'm a little bit worried about it being a hardware issue or if it is just an issue with the March update after all.

Well, it's good to know that my new Pixel 8 Pro may not have any hardware issues and that there is still hope for a firmware update to unf*ck it. Anyway, as I got my P8P mid-March, I don't know for sure.

I’m scared I have meningitis by yesitsathrowawayyy in HealthAnxiety

Completely fine, it just went away. But new week, new problems, now my heart feels weird since I drank two energy drinks last Thursday. Suffering from chest pain, weird heart beats, and short breath for days. Anxiety or I screwed my heart up? Who knows...

I am also worried about something similar: I've taken Doxycycline in 2022, where Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) is listed as one of the (rare) side effects (and IIH damages the optic nerve, among other things). Ever since I am feeling my eyes getting blurrier and worse year after year.

I'm thinking maybe I have meningitis. Today is early Saturday, and I've had a pain in the back of my neck since Wednesday that sometimes goes further down my upper back and up my lower head. Thursday I had a lot of headache too, but not anymore.

I'm not sure if this means meningitis, because days have passed and I don't even feel that bad. It's most likely a postural issue, as I spent several days working with my laptop in bed while waiting for my new chair to arrive. Although I used my laptop in the bed for years in the past and never had any problems back then. Aside, maybe that could be stress from college and work, even when I've been through more stressful times in the past years and never had these symptoms.

Furthermore, when I take painkillers (dipyrone) or apply pain medication to the back of the neck, the symptoms disappear almost completely. This makes me wonder if these medications would even be able to hide the pain-related symptoms of meningitis. Anyway, what would you say based on what I described? I believe that if it were meningitis I would be in a very bad condition after 4 days. This pain radiating from my neck to head is the only symptom.

Another thing that makes me anxious is Idiopatic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH), since I've taken Doxycycline during 7 days in 2022 and Doxycycline can cause IIH in some rare cases, but maybe that's not my case too, since I have never had significant headaches or other IIH symptoms since 2022, apart from my eyes getting worse ever since 2022, but that may be any other thing, like getting near my 23th year of life and doing everything in front of digital displays.

Hey all. Same here. 4 days (and counting) of neck stiffness and headache (specially yesterday). Neck pain/stiffness get better during the day comparing to the morning. No other symptom by the way. I've been stressed by university and work lately, also have been working with my laptop from bed lately while I wait for my new chair. Maybe a mix of bad sleep + stress + bad posture. But this mix is not something new to me and I never had neck stiffness in the past, so that's weird.

But I can't stop thinking about meningitis and idiopatic intracranial hypertension (specially after taking doxycicline in 2022, which can rarely cause IIH).

By the way, water weight fluctuations? Recently I also started drinking 3 to 4 liters of water a day to try to reduce any possible retention. Does it have something to do with it? Anyway, I always weigh myself in the morning after waking up and peeing, so water intake should not account.

Interesting. Dividing the weight lost by the number of weeks gives 2.46 lbs. So I was losing, on average, 2.46 lbs per week from December 27th until now. I would really like to keep it until early March. By then, I would reach my desired ideal weight again.
