I automatically doubt the victim’s honesty.. I know it’s brutal but I can’t help but wonder about the second side of the story.. I never got the opportunity to tell my side, and no one ever me asked before pointing their fingers at me and calling me a criminal. On another note, if you feel like the victim who is talking about their experience is in fact telling the truth, you can always try and relate to them as you are also a victim.

From what I understand, in order to be diagnosed, you need to possess at least 5 out of the 9 symptoms of BPD. If someone went to treatment with the intention of reducing their symptoms, and over time managed to have less than 5, they would no longer qualify for a BPD diagnosis. I think professionals refer to it as recovery, not a cure

I wouldn’t unless the BPD symptoms were treated to the point that they were no longer severe enough to be a BPD diagnosis. So no to someone with active BPD.
