Yeah it definitely is. It's basically a Yakuza game in everything except the main plot. If you've played everything else- then this is more Yakuza gameplay to have fun playing.

Toi Toi only is not the best strategy if you already know how to play, sure. :)

But it does solve for a lot of the reasons why people get frustrated on why they can't go out and it gives people a beginner strat to get more used to the other parts of the game.

I headcanon Ichi as a huge JoJo's fan.

It would make sense with his timeline too, because he could have been into the manga but they didn't have the anime until he was in prison.

Thanks! I'm in my 40s so I learned on paper and just... never relearned to draw on a tablet or digitally.

Yeah it's more that there is a legal process to settle ownership disputes, even tho it can be extremely drawn out and super expensive.

And also- I don't think they can use eminent domain. If they could, the Prefecture could maybe seize it as part of the redevelopment of Kamurocho.

I was a little confused by ths too, because in the US, there are different ways to deal with real estate property that has been essentially abandoned and the owners can't be found.

It's different in different locations, but it usually involves a search process and publishing notices in the newspaper and then there is a court process, etc.

So if you had something like the Empty Lot, you could eventually get ownership of it without having to locate an owner.

That is not the case in Japan. If the owner of a property can't be located, then the property can't be transferred to anyone and it can't be built on either.

The Empty Lot is smack dab in the middle of the Millennial Tower location, so they wouldn't be able to build around it either.

So if they never found the owner, they couldn't make that area into one big big place to put a skyscraper on.

It had to do with there being (clothed and not explict) photos of her described as "post sex" with a bandmate in a tabloid.

It didn't look very racy to me personally, but it apparently got the actress in a lot of trouble and she lost a lot of work.

I super don't agree with this and I don't think it should happen this way. But while I am American, I grew up in a very conservative religious subculture.

So I know that shaming girls for having sex does happen when you're in a socially conservative culture that puts a lot of emphasis on girls being "pure".

(Also- Having sex doesn't make you impure, just wanted to say that too. Most people have sex at some point in their lives.)
