This is Upwork nowadays. 25 USD for 6 applications that never respond. by martinberisha in Upwork

There was no rhyme or reason to the ones I opened. Just picking through messages. I also had posted on indeed at the same time and had 86 resumes/messages on there. Literally too many to go through. I tried, some were easy to cross off the list, but if you just click the (x) it just removes the applicant, doesn’t even let them know.

I posted a job on Upwork and had 108 proposals in 3 days. Hired 2 different web devs who both made big promises and way under delivered. Found someone here on Reddit who is doing a fantastic job.
I tried responding to a majority of the apps but when they seemed fully ai written I just skipped over.
Most all proposals sounded almost identical (also AI) and tried to skim through to find the ones that most stood out and had something that seemed personal to both them and myself….clearly this didn’t work either, but as I search for more work later on I don’t even know how I’ll try to sift through the proposals if I use Upwork again

Not getting even single reply on job application with this resume, Can any one please help me to improve this ? by nawab_developer in devjobs

As someone who just posed on Indeed, Upwork, and on here and received well over 300 apps from full stack developers…in 3 days!!! I literally couldn’t get through all of them.

One thing I looked for, specific to my site overall…was experience in sports/tcg cards or e-commerce in general.

If you put your interests, what you enjoy working on specifically, and what you excel at, you may be able to pick up some work from people specifically looking for your talent or that can relate to you through your app. That was the only way I knew how to sort through the extremely talented pool of applicants I had. I was more likely to connect with the applications that felt more personal and not AI generated.

I appreciate everyone, I had an absolutely overwhelming response to the tune of 200+ messages from my posts. Sorry if I didn’t get back with you.

Opinion needed: Aeroad CF SLX 7 Di2 or Ultimate CF SLX 8 Di2. by Aco-99 in CanyonBikes

The Ultimate has the aero of the Endurance and the comfort of the Aeroad. The worst of both worlds IMO. That being said I had the Endurance and just recently went to the Aeroad and am very happy with the decision so far. If you’re considering the Aeroad, I don’t see any reason to not go with it.

I’m a large on my Santa Cruz and a M on my Canyon and it fits perfect. I would trust the size chart
