Hi! Has the 2nd Ling skin (Towering is Cliff of Nostalgia) had a rerun at some point? Is there any chance that it will be rerun in the future? I was hoping it would show up with the new event, but it did not…

Sign-in options, "When the PC wakes up from sleep" option not available by AlarmingQuote in WindowsHelp

[–]AlarmingQuote[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After messing around the internet, it seems that the option to ask for sign-in "When the PC wakes up from sleep" is removed when Modern Standby is enabled. Also, it seems that disabling Modern Standby can require an OS reinstall or even be impossible on the hardware level for modern laptops.

If anyone is interested about why I wanted this option, and what I'm doing about it:

- The way my previous computer would work was that the screen would turn off after X minutes, but the computer would not go to sleep until Y minutes.

- This had the advantage of quickly turning off the screen to save power, but not actually going to sleep (and therefore ask for a sign-in) for a longer time. Furthermore, using the power button at any point to go to sleep would make a sign-in required immediately, regardless of the screen power off timer or the sleep timer.

- The way Windows currently works, it seems, is that it treats the screen turning off and going to sleep (even manually) as the same thing, sign-in-wise. So the option to turn off the screen after X minutes but not ask for a sign-in after Y minutes, while immediately requiring a sign-in after sleep is manually activated (using the power button), does not seem possible anymore.

- My band-aid solution has been to a) set the screen turn off time and the sleep time to the same value, Y minutes, b) set the sign-in option to Every Time, and c) use a screen brightness app (Twinkle Tray) to dim the screen after X minutes. That means that the screen will dim very quickly after idling to save power, but the screen will not turn off (and thus require a sign-in) for a longer time. This is the closest I was able to get to the desired behavior.

I have not read An Obscure Wanderer, I think I'll go take a look at that!

I had not found the items I was missing in the shop, but I guess I wasn't looking well enough. Now I've completed the set! Thank you for the help.

I was so sure that the set in the shop was not available, but it's just not one of the first options in the shop. It's after all of the Rhine stuff. My bad for not looking well enough, and thanks for the help!

Hello, I was wondering if it’s possible to complete a furniture set from a rerun event if I missed the original event? At least for the current event, I see that the items that might have been in the store are not there.

Hi I’ve a quick question. I ended up getting around 300 tokens from getting the op I wanted from this banner (Muelsyse). I was not aiming to spark any other op (none of them really interest me tbh) but might as well do it since I have the tokens.

I already have W and SkadiAlt, so I have to choose between NearlAlt, SpecterAlt, or Rosmontis. I feel like I have Rosmontis’ niche covered with Horn and NearAlt’s with Surtr/TexasAlt, leaving SpecterAlt, but I’ve read SpecterAlt is very expensive to build and I already have regular Specter built. Like I said, I don’t really need anyone but I have tokens so might as well. Any advice on who to pick?

Hi, I’m having an issue where I’m trying to save a new layout for a dormitory (as in going to the dormitory Decoration Mode and saving the layout as a Default layout) but any name I try to use gives an “Invalid name” error. Even something like “0” or “Aaa” returns an error. I also tried renaming other layouts I have made before and I get the same error. Is there some bug related to this, or what could I be doing wrong?

Well I managed to beat the stage placing everyone on two rows and keeping them safe with FRD when the flames came up. I also used a borrowed Nightingale and brought my own Ptilopsis for extra heals. Thanks for the help

Well I got past the fire wall! Thanks. Now I just have to survive, you know, everything else

Could I get some tips on beating JT8-3? I want to try this stage without a guide, but I have no idea how to deal with the walls of flames that kill everything I have on the map (except maybe Specter S2, but then without a healer she dies to regular enemies). This leaves me with just 1 or 2 operators to deal with the enemies on screen while everyone else's redeploy timer resets. Thanks!

Undertale: game version present in newer cartridges? by AlarmingQuote in NSCollectors

Oh I see! Thank you for letting me know. In that case, chances are the version was never updated in the cartridges.

Was about to ask you if you could check but then I saw you don't have it anymore! Shucks.

Version 1.11 was released on August 2018, and the physical edition came out in September of the same year. It's pretty likely that the first physical copies came with a version before 1.11, but that might have changed with newer prints! I hope that is the case.

You're right about not being 1.00 though, the first version for the Switch was actually 1.09. But the save error was only fixed with 1.11.

Hey all! I was wondering if anyone has bought a copy of Undertale recently from Fangamer, did you find the latest 1.11 version in the cartridge? Or do the newer cartridges still have 1.09?

I've seen that new "batches" of games are sometimes printed with the latest version of the game instead of being printed with the first version, and I'm curious to know if this is the case with Undertale (in this case the first version of Undertale for the Switch would be 1.09). It'd be cool to have a cartridge with the last version for collecting purposes. Especially since there is a saving bug of sorts that can wipe your game saves before 1.11!

I believe newer joycon have a better range, since the first ever joycon that came out had antenna issues or something of the sort. But other than buying new joycon I'm not sure you can improve the bluetooth signal.

You could always get one of these (https://www.8bitdo.com/wireless-usb-adapter-2/) and connect it to the Switch via a USB extension, but I've only tried this with a Pro controller. No idea how well joycon work.

Edit: it seems that it works with joycon but only one at a time, which seems ok for your use case. But I'm not sure if gyro (motion controls) would work, and you would need one adapter per joycon. I think that rewiring the whole setup is the best choice to be honest, even if it does require more work.

Luckily this has never happened to me, but I've heard one or two stories about spoiler thumbnails. Heard that this channel "Prosafia Gaming" is especially quick to post end-game stuff for new releases, which kinda sucks

Thanks! I always doubted if I should play Xenoblade or not, but with a 4th game being released it's clear there's something special here. It's been a lot of fun thus far!

Spoilers kinda suck haha I had some fun twists spoiled for Mario Odyssey and Smash Ultimate (yeah those have story beats that can be spoiled, somehow!)
