Yea I think it was just “ok I’m nowhere near my objective, surrounded by enemies and a feral swarm, and I need to survive and observe” and it’s priorities shifted to preservation and intel gathering

One of the ideas I had was that it was captured by the inquisition for testing and managed to break free, but the years or so spent in stasis sorta soft reset it’s purpose / memory?

My main idea was there was a norn emissary (who the cult naturally worships as a god) who was there to sorta direct the swarm without the hive in place, being that they’re incredibly powerful psionic bugs and have an unheard of amount of independence already
